This is not something to be considered for an opponent. The term 'as-it-is speech' refers to diligently revealing the reason for the wisdom that language does not deceive, rather than wanting to manifest the wisdom of language as an example. So what is it? Language itself is a form. Therefore, the nature of sound is the dharma to be proven, and by the reason of generating non-deceptive wisdom, it is to be proven that it is not false. In this way, the dharma of example is reason, otherwise, the proof of the example would be incomplete. Similarly, another argument is: the knowledge that arises from eternal speech is true in itself, for example, with the nature of language as its object. By burning with fire and so on, it is certain that heaven and so on will be accomplished, and if this is produced by eternal speech, then this is the reason of nature. Since it has been widely heard and verified before, the reason is not unestablished. The so-called 'persuasion' and so on have already been explained at the beginning. Similarly, other arguments are: the knowledge produced by the words of someone who is not trusted, and the knowledge that does not deceive the differences of place, time, person's situation, etc., is valid cognition, for example, the knowledge produced by trustworthy words. The knowledge produced by persuasive words is also the same, and these are the reasons of nature. The first reason is not unestablished, because it has been widely proven to be uncreated by humans. The second is also not, as it is said: 'One who desires heaven should perform sacrifices,' and from this statement, doubt will not arise, because when understood without doubt, this will not become false. Those who think that what arises and then perishes is not like that, this erroneous knowledge, for other places, other times, or other people, will not become inverted, therefore it is not inverted. Therefore, just as it appears, the cause that distinguishes all the common dharmas of the world, etc., is knowledge.
