These are the cessations of examination and non-individual examination. The word "also" in "not done also" also indicates permanence. How are the unmade nature and permanence of these understood? And how is reasoning applied to it? In order to prove it by the tenets of other schools, "these" etc. are mentioned. "These" refers to the Buddhas. Haven't the causes of destruction, such as fire burning firewood and clay making a pot, been seen? Therefore, if it is said that this is without cause, then "fire" etc. are mentioned. Among them, fire etc. are the cause of other things such as coal, and arise and cease with it, but it cannot be determined as destruction, because it is naturally accomplished. Then, if it is self-destructive, why can't it be observed even before encountering fire etc.? Therefore, "similar continuity" etc. are mentioned. The weak who are confused by the arising of similar other things cannot be certain, but the arising of dissimilar continuity can be certain. Dissimilar causes are hammers etc. Dissimilar results are fragments etc. In this case, the possibility of destruction can be clearly seen. Therefore, it is concluded with "therefore" etc. "Dissimilar continuity" means inconsistency. "From which cause" refers to the common basis. "By itself" refers to the cause. What is to be shown by "from which" is what is related to the following "obvious". In order to show that reasoning applies to inconsistent aspects, "because it is" etc. are mentioned. "It is" refers to the two cessations. The observation known as the sequel to the labor of hammering etc. refers to what arises immediately after hammering etc. Saying "three" is to show that two of them are wrong, and to show that the third sky is also wrong, so "sky also" etc. are mentioned. "It is labored" means that the land etc. has become labored because of digging etc. "It" refers to sound. "Seen" refers to what arises immediately after being labored.

of knowledge. Having thus refuted the faults of reason, wishing to refute the faults of example, it is said, "By the similar side," and so on. The similar side is the example. What is that? Is it intended to be the meaning of hearing, or is it intended to be manifestation? If it is the meaning of hearing, then it is the fault of the example of not being complete in what is to be proven. Thus, hearing is sound, and its meaning is what is to be expressed, which is also the general of pot and so on. That is because all opponents consider it to be impermanent. On that, the property to be proven of impermanence itself is not concomitant. In some places, it is read as "the meaning of kind," there, a कर्मधारय (karmadhāraya) compound should be made. The meaning is identity itself. If it is the second case, then at that time, it should also be examined whether the manifestation that is considered to be the example is different from or not different from the kind. Is the manifestation different from the kind, or is it not different? If it is different, then for the logician, the subject of the example is not established, because the logician, like the Vaiśeṣikas and so on, absolutely does not consider the kind of manifestation to be different from us, as it is said: From the manifestation of kind and so on, we do not have a different nature existing. Like existing. If it is the side of not being different, then for other Buddhas, the subject of the example is not established, because others do not consider the kind that is not different from the manifestation. If, abandoning the discrimination of being different or not different, one takes the pot as the example itself, then at that time, in order to show that for us, the example is empty of what is to be proven, it is said, "Without difference," and so on. That "that" refers to the object of the pot. How is it? It is said, "The kind of this," and so on. The parts of the name of the kind of this object of the pot are permanent, and the other parts of the name of manifestation are perishable, that is, changeable. Thinking thus, if one thinks, how can two mutually contradictory natures be reasonable on one? It is said, "Leading one object," and so on. Furthermore, wishing to refute the faults of the example by means of analyzing the property to be proven, it is said, "Thus, impermanence itself," and so on. If it is not concomitant, but impermanence of the characteristic of destruction.
