So-called "author," etc. In short, the author of the Vedas is not established by direct perception. Like this, one cannot point to a horn and say, "This is it." Because it has not been determined that way. If one examines, "The author has appeared," if one has not seen it that way, then when did it appear? Whoever thinks this way is without valid cognition. In order to show that it cannot be established by inference of substance, the "previous relationship" and so on were mentioned first. All that is mentioned about the Vedas, the relationship of the author of the nature of the arising of the Vedas and the things that can arise, if it has not been seen that way before, then that action is the cause of not understanding, because there is no valid cognition of understanding. Some people cannot grasp the relationship between unseen fire and smoke, because that way it is separated from inference, but that is how the author is recognized. Also, with the word "also," it is not only separated from direct perception. Negating the valid cognition arising from sound, it is said, "In order to establish that meaning," etc. Because there is no unmade other than the Vedas, for the time being, the unmade does not exist. The made also does not exist, because it itself is not valid cognition. Like this, if it is said that the scriptures are made, then is it the author of the sage Ishvara and others related to the Vedas, or is it made by Shakyamuni and others who are unrelated to it? Subordinate to the power of Ishvara, it is said, "Ishvara," etc. The so-called "himself" is the Vedas. This shows that oneself is the real thing of valid cognition. For the second case, the fault is also stated, that is, "no relationship," etc. No relationship means no relationship with the Vedas. Because it does not belong to it. The scripture of the author of the Vedas is to show the Vedas. The so-called "having another author" means having the author of an unrelated person. Explaining as not approaching measurement, that is, "If the Vedas," etc. Explaining as not understanding with meaning, that is, "If the Vedas have no author." The so-called "measurable" is completely with the six valid cognitions.

It is a cutoff. That which is absent is called the agent. A little is called the measurable. That which is present is called the agent. "Etc." in "valid cognition, etc." establishes phenomena, etc. The absence of things means that by the valid cognition of the absence of things, it is absent, and it is understood as such, because its object is negation. Or, without things, it is absent in its own nature, and it is understood as such, which is a synonym. Because it is harmed by the valid cognition of non-things. It is called the absence by all valid cognitions, which is the removal, which is the synonym of the valid cognition of non-things. Therefore, because of the harm, it is established that there is no agent of creation. Thinking thus: If it is established that the creator is not made by a person, and then it is established as valid cognition from that, alas! Then it should become valid cognition from another. Thus, as long as it is not established as made by a person, it will not be understood as valid cognition. Having such doubts, therefore, it is said that it is not valid cognition, etc. This shows that we do not establish it with the nature of establishing valid cognition. Then what is it? It is to prevent others from becoming the fault of valid cognition. Specifically excluding the prohibition then it does not harm the general, but abides in self-establishment. From what path does it establish it, then it is not by power that it establishes others as valid cognition, and establishes that it is not made by a person. Then what is it? It is only by the nature of removing what is made by a person, so it is not a thing. If it is not established, then how can it be self-established? Therefore, it is said that it is not made by a person, etc. However, even if the other side is removed, is it not that the valid cognition has not established its own side? How can the author of reason make sense, and how is it established? Therefore, it is said that all things that have become things, etc. Like the main thing and the four atoms. This is explained as: the cause of the main thing, etc. If again, the Vaisheshika places it near the Samkhya
