In the section, mentions like "destruction" are stated. Although destruction is shown to be established, it actually shows the negation of things. In reality, it is not to establish some nature of things. However, like "becoming black honey" and so on, because there is a connection of words of change, isn't it also establishing the thing itself? To this, mentions like "to some people" are stated, the connection of things and words is merely following along, their existence and non-existence are not real existence, because they are related to intention, so they will be destroyed. If it is not like that, then in some people, due to the intention of some people, the name "donkey" is connected, then it will lead to it having all the attributes of a donkey. The sounds of Balika and Rasabha are different names for donkeys. There is no doubt that it should be understood like this: it is the negation of the nature of things, and establishment does not exist at all. If it is not like that, if "destruction" establishes another thing, because things do not arise at all, so it will return because of that. If there is nothing, then for the said "because there is no destruction" and so on, mentions "separated from the essence of things." The reason for saying this is that "like that" refers to the essence separated from the nature of things. Because one's own essence existing in the nature of things has changed, so it is merely non-existence. If it is like that, then all things will become permanent. If the characteristic of the negation of the nature of these things does not perish, therefore these things become permanent, then as long as the destruction of the characteristic of the negation of the nature itself is the essence of non-existence, how can it become permanent? All compounded things are bound to perish, and this is merely stating the reason. For the said "any permanent thing exists together with destruction" and so on, mentions "this has the permanent essence." The phrase "will return" also does not express the essence of the return of the established essence of this destruction. Because for this established

There is not even the slightest pause. What then is it? It is that the very nature of things prevents the arising of self-nature later than the moment. Therefore, this alone is the very nature of things, and it is not an object of clinging to permanence. Because of the lack of self-nature, it is impossible to be a permanent entity. For the dharmas of permanence and impermanence are intimately related to self-nature. If you say that causelessness is of two kinds, namely permanence and non-existence, that is not understanding the views of other schools. For, like this, the logicians of Buddhism say that causelessness is only non-existence. As the Blessed One said: A Bodhisattva who abides contemplating the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma does not truly see any Dharma other than dependent origination. Those who are Particularists, and who think that space and other things are real, should not be included in your camp, because they are not sons of the Shakya, and the things of their system are not good. Therefore, it does not do even the slightest cause of destruction, so it is not an unestablished reason. From this, it should also be said that it does not do even the slightest cause of destruction. Just as when a thing arises from its own cause, will its nature become the nature of its own destruction? Or will it become the nature of non-destruction? If it is destroyed, then it has not done even the slightest cause of destruction, because it is destroyed by its own nature. Whatever is the nature of something, arising from its own cause is like that, and it does not depend on other causes of things. For example, appearance, melting, warmth, hardness, etc., arising as its nature, again the arising of appearance, etc., does not depend on other causes. Someone might think, for example, that seeds, etc., even though they are the nature of producing sprouts, etc., cannot produce it by themselves alone, because they depend on other causes such as water. The same is true.

If one thinks that although the nature of things is destruction, destruction depends on other causes and conditions, this is not correct. Because it has been admitted that obtaining the final state itself is the cause of production, not others. Therefore, whatever is the nature of something, that is merely the cause of production, not dependent on others. Whatever is in a state of ashes, etc., but cannot produce, that is not its nature, because it is the cause of the cause, so it is only nominally called a cause, but in reality it is not, so there is no error. If it is said to be on the side of "the nature of non-destruction," then the cause of destruction does not work at all, because no one can change its nature. For example, if a thing does not perish as soon as it is produced, then afterwards it is still the nature of the dharma that maintains its state. What effect does the cause of destruction have on something that is going to perish? Or, just as copper, etc., although its essence is hardness, changes into other forms when it encounters fire, etc. Similarly, although the nature of things is non-destruction, the cause of destruction will make it into other forms. Therefore, it is not correct to think that obtaining the cause of destruction will cause it to perish. Because that itself has not become other, and the change of form is the characteristic of the production of other natures. For example, what is called the change of form, is it something different from the thing? Or is it the thing itself? For the time being, it is not the thing itself, because it has already been produced from its own cause. If it is said to be something different from the thing, then the thing remains with its unchanging nature, so it will not undergo a change of form. The example of copper, etc., is also not established. For example, the previous moment of copper, etc., hardness, etc., are each obstructed by their respective causes and perish.
