Because it is not related to the fruit. It is also not intended to be so, because in that way, only the one who acts without eating ghosts should be acknowledged as the eater, and this should be fully understood. Therefore, whoever is the actor and the eater, that is the self. Furthermore, if this is not the nature of the mind, then how can it be reasonable to be an unknowing actor? Having mentioned "because of the connection with the mind" and so on, this is because it becomes knowing through the connection with the mind, so it is the mind. Just as the Samkhyas say that "the nature of Purusha is sentient," it is not the self-nature because it is the nature of the mind. Then, if this very permanence is not the actor and the eater, how can there be its birth, death, or the destruction of life? All of this is not permissible for permanence and the nature of oneness, just like space. Having mentioned "knowing" and so on, knowing, effort, wanting to do, and so on, all belong to that self, which is the actor itself. Experiencing happiness and so on, and belonging to it, is the eater itself. Being connected with distinct kinds of similar types, and with the body, sense powers, intelligence, and feelings that were previously non-existent, is said to be the birth of that self. Similar types are the distinctions of gods and humans, and so on. In "with thorns, etc.," the word "and" includes the body and sense powers. Among them, the characteristic of being fully endowed with the body and sense powers is its connection. Intelligence and feelings are the characteristics of belonging. If one asks how it is to be endowed and endowed, there is also being endowed and being endowed. Because it is not seen, the ear canal, which is manifestly assembled, is endowed with the self, and it is also endowed with the ear of the nature of space. Separating from the previously obtained, that is, the body, sense powers, intelligence, and feelings that were previously closely taken, is said to be its death. Its life is that which is with the body, dependent on dharma and non-dharma, and possessed of mind. Harm is the meaning of saying that this self is thought to be harmed because of harming the body and eyes, and so on. Similarly, it also harms the basis of the fruit and the actor.

It is non-violence, which is the meaning of the Sutra. The basis of the result is the body, because happiness and so on are the basis of the result. The agent is the sense faculty, because it is the agent of the object of focus. Again, how can one know that this self truly exists? To this, for the time being, let the ear orifice be the measure. For us, there is no difference in the object of existence, etc., and the object of knowledge that is not an object, with direct perception and inference, as well as approximation, sound, memory, recognition, seeing by accomplishment, worldly knowledge, doubt, inversion, uncertainty, dreams, and the distinctions of wisdom at the edge of dreams, etc., are made by wisdom that is different from my body, etc., so they should be understood with wisdom, because they depend on their own cause, and have birth, have generality and particularity, are the nature of awakening, are extremely fast, are the nature of destruction, are the nature of generating conditioned phenomena, and are the nature of knowing, like the knowledge of other men. By the incompatibility of Dharma, like a broken vase, etc. Among them, those who have no difference in existence, etc., are the six mentioned earlier. The objects of the six existences, etc., are things, qualities, actions, etc. Non-objects are generality, particularity, aggregation, etc. The object of knowledge of the nature of these two, the difference of wisdom such as direct perception, etc., exists on what, then they are called that. Direct perception, inference, approximation, etc., show the difference of categories. Seeing by accomplishment is to show the scriptures such as astrology, etc., which is the seeing of the accomplished, or the seeing is the accomplishment, so it is called seeing by accomplishment. Worldly knowledge is the knowledge of pride, like the recognition of my brothers, etc., as said before. It also mostly comes from the sages, so it is called worldly knowledge. Doubt is two minds. Inversion is inversion. Uncertainty is the uncertainty of the object. The knowledge that arises in the state of dreaming is the dream. The edge of the dream is on that object, even in the dream there is other knowledge.
