Because everything possesses the unimpeded and complete power of causation, it will arise all at once. If the result remains because the cause is incomplete, then what prevents it from arising all at once? If it is not incomplete, then why does it rely on others? Furthermore, if it is admitted that from the single nature arises a different essence of sound, then the statement that "Brahman transforms into the essence of things" will not be established. When another thing arises, if it does not merge into the nature of that other thing, then its transformation of essence is unreasonable. Therefore, in all cases, the promised meaning should not be examined. To show that the reason "because it has the form of sound" is also not established, it is said, "Its essence is different from man," and so on. For things, there is actually no single essence that follows, because everything abides in its own essence, and its nature is to be separated from similar and dissimilar things. For these, conceptual clinging categorizes things that have the same shape formed by separating from dissimilar things. For example, for things that are actually different, such as a vase, a bowl, and a ladle, it is like thinking of the essence of pottery as being formed by separating from non-pottery things. Therefore, the examination of things such as blue cannot be the possession of the form of sound, because the essence of sound is not observed in things such as blue and yellow. If it is not observed, then how can one think of possessing the form of sound as being formed by distinguishing things that are not the essence of sound? Therefore, "the concept also has no seed" is an unestablished reason. Also, "everything is the same object, and will be cognized in the form of one," to welcome the doubts of other schools regarding what was said, it is "However, that very essence of Brahman," and so on. If that suchness of the nature of Brahman is unchanging, undifferentiated, and constantly and truly exists, then it will not actually completely change. However, those whose eyes of wisdom are impaired by the obscuration of ignorance think of things as being diverse, like thinking of things such as blue as being diverse.

Mamo. As it is said: Just as in the pure sky, a person obscured by cataracts perceives various cataracts, similarly, this immutable nectar Brahman, obscured by ignorance, becomes like a stain, appearing as different essences. It is like saying this. Therefore, everything will not fall into being the same entity, because they are of the nature of non-existence. Nor will wisdom become different, because it is itself the result of being obscured by ignorance. This is what I think. To this, one answers with "To this," etc., because by the power of valid cognition (pramāṇa), the object of valid cognition (prameya) is established as existing. In order to establish the Brahman of such an essence, there is not even a little valid cognition. For example, for the time being, it is not established by direct perception, because apart from the basis for obtaining and abandoning beneficial and non-beneficial blue, etc., there is no other essence of sound that appears. Even if it does not appear, how can it be the mind that is directed towards it? Abiding on the path of reason, it is not necessarily certain to exist. Like this, just as the essence of knowing oneself, it is established only by the direct perception of self-awareness. For example, it itself is clear, because it is the essence of sound and the essence of a sentient being. If one thinks like this, this contradicts self-awareness, for example, even if the mind is distracted by other things, when the eye sees a form, it is only experiencing the knowledge of blue, etc., which is not in accordance with verbal expression. Like this, it will be explained in detail. If it is certain, then the statement "That knowledge does not exist in the world" (Śes de 'jig rten na yod min) and so on is also refuted. Therefore, the Brahman of the nature of undifferentiated sound is not established by direct perception, because that which has become like that is not apparent. Nor is it established by inference, for example, if it is inference, is it the sign of the effect (hetu), or the sign of the nature? Non-apprehension is because it is the object of negation, so it is not in itself capable of establishing. Among these, for the time being, it is not the sign of the effect, because no effect arises from the permanent, because the permanent acts sequentially and simultaneously.
