The basis of those is the cause of aggregation, namely matter. The non-basis is the five from qualities, etc., up to aggregation. The five valid cognitions, starting with inference, are up to non-things. Other valid cognitions different from that are direct perception. The rest is easy to understand. The other reason they stated is also like this: some of the existences, etc., which are undifferentiated, suppressible and unsuppressible, disagreeing minds, and which have become the nature of the basis, are direct perception, because they exist, like form, etc. Regarding this, there are six undifferentiated existences, etc.: existence, impermanence, having substance, cause and effect, and having common differences, which are the undifferentiatedness of matter, qualities, and actions, are suppressed by them. Suppression refers to the three meanings of the words that are the nature of matter, qualities, and actions, as far as possible. Unsuppressible are universals, etc. The rest is easy to understand. What shows that collection of valid cognitions is, "The objects of four disagreeing minds are," etc. Regarding this, starting with "The first that can establish," etc., the latter side is constructed. Regarding this, whatever is non-sentient does not produce its own fruit without a giver. In such a statement, because there is no valid cognition that harms the thing to be established, in the disagreeable aspect, due to doubt about reversal, the reason is uncertain, so it is thought. Also, because it possesses the distinction of the part that produces itself, the first statement of the reason that establishes is not established. Why? Because it is stated, "Because of what," etc. With the word of the shape of the part, it is intended to manifest the distinction of having. Its distinction is also the substance called having limbs. Since both the distinction and the having of distinction are not established, the reason is not established in two ways. Again, how are both not established? It is stated, "It can be seen," etc. Regarding this, in short, the non-perception of self-nature itself is said to be the valid cognition that harms. In detail, these are the faults, the meaning of the words has six types.

It will show the examination. The so-called "two" means truly believing in having shape and parts. Like this, admitting that it can exist according to shape, having quantity, measure, difference, being able to be distinguished, and being other and non-other things, etc. Action is said to be able to be captured by the eyes because it is combined with tangible things. The components are also considered visible, because large things have many components, and because they are form, they are observable. If it is considered different from form, etc., or if it is considered that the components can be manifested, it is not manifested in consciousness. Therefore, since it is not an observable nature, it is not an observable object, just like a rabbit's horn, it is the object of a non-existent name. Since atoms are beyond the scope of the senses, it is not correct to think that form, etc., are unobservable, because special things are considered to be the object of the senses, so they are not beyond the scope of the senses. For this reason, in order to explain that because it does not have possession and components, it is separated from the example of the same dharma, it is said, "Therefore, this example is also," etc. Like this, it is temporarily shown that because the special and the having of specialness are not established, the nature of the reason is not established. Now, in order to show that because one part of the basis is not established, it is also not established, it is said, "eyes and touch," etc. Here, two kinds of dharmas are shown, namely, what can be captured by the two senses and what cannot be captured. Among them, the dharma that can be captured by the two senses is not established at all, just like this, both eye consciousness and tactile consciousness, in order, are only the phenomenon of manifesting blue and other forms, and only the special phenomenon of manifesting roughness and other tactile sensations, so the phenomenon of manifesting differences will arise. If so, eye consciousness and tactile consciousness do not exist as the same object, because they appear differently, just like the cognition of smell and taste, etc. The application is, which are the consciousnesses that appear as different phenomena, they are not the same object, for example, smell.
