Just as the light of a jewel does not depend on external things, so the non-dependence on external things is not established. In any case, having said "The mind is the meaning of sound," etc., it is said, "The self is," etc. If the mind is the nature of things, then it is not the nature of external things, nor is it the nature of other minds. This has already been shown by "It is not the nature of self and other," etc. Therefore, "The mind is regarded as expressing the non-thinking thing" is not established, because it is understood by implication. This is how it is thought. To the statement, "Even though there is no external object," it is said, "The nature of the image," etc. Just as our exclusion of the appearance of the nature of the image is the meaning of speech, so is the meaning of words. Because it is also reasonable to exclude the nature of the image from words. Therefore, we exclude the nature of the image. Moreover, the word "also" is not only the meaning of speech, but also the meaning of words. Therefore, I think there is no wrong understanding, so there is no need to argue. To the statement, "The mind is not understood to be distinguished from other minds," it is said, "Only from the arising of its own nature," etc. Only because the mind does not cling to other parts than the arising of its own nature, only because it abides in its own nature, the mind can be distinguished from other minds. If it is not so, if it clings to the nature of other things, how can it be distinguished from it? Therefore, the reason for saying "Therefore" is that it does not necessarily cling to the self-nature of things different from itself. To the statement, "If excluding others is the object of expression," etc., it is said, "How," etc. Just as because excluding others has no self-nature, it expresses that there is no difference between the natures of non-existent things, so there is also no difference. Therefore, if there is no different meaning, how can it fall into being merely a name? In order to clarify this, no difference

Also, it is one thing. It is said. If there is not one thing for non-existent things, then why wouldn't it become multiple names? Therefore, it is said "meaning is one" and so on. If someone thinks that even if the nature of one does not fully exist for non-existent things, there is still a distinguisher, so it might become multiple names. Therefore, it is said "even if the nature does not exist" and so on. "Even if the nature does not exist" means even if there is no self-nature. If that is the case, how to establish the form of sound being multiple names? Therefore, it is said "the expression is real" and so on. If in the ultimate truth, what is expressed by sounds is a different or non-different thing, then at that time it would become multiple names. Because as long as these things to be expressed exist slightly, it will not be multiple names. Because it has already been explained that "because of its own characteristic type, the related type possesses it, similarly." Then, how to establish multiple names and so on? Therefore, it is said "however" and so on. Even if there is no generality, the reason for establishing the sound of generality is that the meaning of many things is to do one thing. Some things, although they are multiple in nature, will actually do one thing. In order to show those things that are able to do one thing, in order to reduce the labor of the namers, they fabricate the nature of one, and then combine one sound. For example, just like the characteristic of combining honey and water, etc., the many forms, etc., that are able to do one thing, combine the sound of "vase." Then, why do you combine one sound with many things without one accompanying? Therefore, it is said "for example, even if there is no one accompanying" and so on. It depends only on intention, sounds are combined with meanings. Just like for the appearance of form, the name, form, appearance, and attention, etc., which have the same result, if someone, due to intention, even if there is no one accompanying generality, will combine sounds such as "all."
