It is not so, like the knowledge of the cook and so on. The knowledge of blue trees and so on is also the same, because the difference is distinguished by contradiction, because it pervades the impermanent things that contradict the permanent things, such as sequentiality. The permanent is contradictory in that it acts with sequence and non-sequence, so it is an uncertain reason. The example is not complete in what is to be proved, because it has already been proved in detail before, so the example is not unestablished. It also explains other harms, such as having, etc. In this regard, when refuting having, it is unreasonable for one itself to enter into many, which is the measure of harm, and this explains the harm. How is it unreasonable for one not to enter into many? Similarly, when refuting the possessor of parts, does it show that it enters into one? And so on, concluding with "thus" and so on. This fault is stated to those who, like the Vaibhashikas, consider the genus to be distinct in one appearance. Furthermore, the genus spoken of by those who, like the Jaina, the Mimamsakas, and the Samkhyas, consider the genus to be non-distinct or the nature of both, will hinder the Digambaras. This is the occasion for refuting the genus examined by the Vaisheshikas and the logicians, so no refutation was made, thinking that it was not the time. This is the eighteenth chapter, the analysis of the words of the generalities, from the Condensed Commentary on Reality. In order to refute the Vaisheshikas, "whatever" and so on are stated. For the time being, the characteristic of difference itself enters into the permanent substance, and whatever arises in the final substance, because it is refuted by the fault of impossibility, it is only not a characteristic. There is not even a little of the permanent substance, because it has already been prevented that things are permanent, so how can these be established to enter? Furthermore, it is also shown that it is uncertain for the yogis to establish that these exist by the power of the knowledge of difference, that is, "if that is an atom" and so on. Thus, the nature of atoms and so on abides in their respective natures, so they are scattered among themselves.

Is it mixed or adulterated? If it is the first case, then, when you yourselves focus on things not being mixed, because they become different minds of the yogis towards each other, then examining other differences is meaningless. If it is the second case, then, even if the meaning of the word 'difference' is close to others, how can yogis have unerring knowledge of things that are different from each other? That would become an error, because of clinging to what is not it. If so, it would become not a yogi, because of having erroneous knowledge, this is what is thought. Furthermore, if the so-called difference does not produce different minds without other word meanings, then how can it become different minds of those differences themselves? Because they do not have other differences, because it would become an infinite fault, and because it does not apply to differences, it applies to permanent things, and because it is admitted to be the end, it would also become a fault of breaking the vow. If you yourselves admit that they are the cause of different minds from each other, then the cause of atoms and so on also depends on themselves. Since they themselves have mutually different bodies, then why is it not desired here that atoms and so on produce causes of mutually different cognitions? For the desire for differences and so on, no cause is seen in this other than ignorance. For example, the question of welcoming the answer of the logician Tashi Lodro with "dog meat" and so on, he said: For example, dog meat and so on are themselves impure, and because of their connection, others are also impure. Similarly, for this, its nature is the cause of the self-different cognition of other differences, and because of its connection, atoms are also like that. Furthermore, its nature will also become another cause of other knowledge, for example, the lamp is the cause for the vase and so on, but the vase and so on are not the cause for the lamp, this is certain.
