Because it is extremely uncommon, one might think that it will not become a common thing. Therefore, because there are expressions and correct words, it is said that the entirety itself is the meaning of the common word. The argument is that if there is no reason for something to enter into something else, then it will not enter into that thing, like the snowy mountains for the piercer. The commonality also has no reason to enter into the different things, which is called the invisible pervader. In words such as "vase, etc.," other faults will also be explained. Different kinds of vases, etc., such as the vase itself and the earth itself, etc., when said to be all-pervading, are sometimes said to pervade only their own support, or to exist in all empty places, these two are separate thoughts. In words such as "like the supreme kind," the word "supreme" indicates existence through a vast area. This is only used as an example by being similar to a vast area, not by pervading the area existing between clarity, because in that case, it is also not a dharma. For the first case, the fault is explained. In words such as "for things," when things such as vases arise in an empty place, how can those differences of kind, such as vases, etc., enter or be seen in things such as vases? This is incomprehensible, a synonym for incomprehensible. Why? Because words such as "because it is constant" are mentioned. Like this, those vases, etc., will arise together with different clarity, or exist there previously, or come from another place, at that time they can be seen or entered there. Because they do not arise, because they are constant. They are also not previously existing, because they are not all-pervading. They are also not coming from another place, because there is no function. Therefore, how can they enter or be seen? The argument is that for something, if it does not arise there, nor exist previously, nor later come from another place, then it will not be seen or entered there, like the horns on a rabbit's head.

Yes. For objects such as vases, the generality that possesses arising in an empty place is also the same, which is called not observing the pervasive. The reason is not uncertain, because there are no other forms of entering and observing, etc. Faults are also explained for the second view, stating "self-reliance" etc., referring to the cause of observation such as one's own support and possessing senses, etc. The word "etc." includes things like the union of self and mind. Therefore, when holding different kinds in one distinct appearance, it will also be observed in all the differences of distinct appearances of dissimilar kinds, because they themselves, just as they are, hold each individually with one essence, and are no different from the essence of what is held. To clarify this, it is stated, "If from knowing" etc., if it is said that after knowing the essence of the generality of the appearance and aggregation of what is seen, the essence of the generality residing in the image of appearance is different, then at that time it will also be held, because it is no different from its own essence that has been held. If it is not held, then because it is no different from the essence of what has not been held, similarly, the appearance and aggregation of what is seen will also not be held. If it is admitted to be the essence of both, then at that time, because it possesses mutually contradictory dharmas, it will lead to the fault of having different natures. Holding and not holding also possess mutually contradictory dharmas, and are also one, it is not reasonable to say this absentmindedly, because it will be too extreme. If that is the case, various things will become one, and if that is the case, it will lead to simultaneous arising and destruction, etc. If that is not the case, the word "one" will only be a name, and there is no dispute about names. Therefore, after refuting the kinds in all ways like that, in order to state the argument, it is stated, "Knowing wood etc.," etc., those things that possess the dharmas of sequentiality, conformity, substantiality, possessing arising, etc., are produced from the permanent, unique, and all-pervasive generality that is imputed by others.
