What is called "attachment" is only considered as the cause of memory and so on. If it is thought that things are accomplished by the nature of the qualities of the self, then, in that case, memory and so on cannot coexist with such a form anywhere, therefore, this reason is uncertain. Moreover, the proposition is also contradictory to inference, because its basis, the "self," has already been negated and is therefore non-existent. Because it has been proven to be non-existent. The syllogism is: whatever relies on something, it cannot be established when that thing does not exist, just like a picture without a wall, etc. If others think that conditioned things also rely on the "self," then this is a perceptual contradiction of pervasion. Moreover, it is not unestablished, because that "self" has already been refuted. Therefore, conditioned things are not the nature of the habits of the mind, nor are they the qualities of the "self" of lineage, this is the fruit of valid cognition, because one is established by valid cognition, and the other is contradictory, this is what is thought. In order to refute the third view, "abiding" and so on are mentioned. For example, this thing that abides, sometimes this destroyer itself is the nature of instability, or it is the nature of stability, these are two possibilities. If it is the nature of instability, then, since it does not exist after a moment, whose destroyer will it become? If it is the second case, then, for things, that is, for stable things, there is also its essence, that is, the nature is the stable essence. The so-called "abiding" refers to the destroyer who does not observe anything else at all, what can he do? Just like before, the refutation should be stated. If it is again thought that even if all things are momentary, they still abide in one moment, or follow in a continuous manner, and it is called its ability, then, for this, "from its own cause itself" and so on are also mentioned. When it is established from its own cause itself, then one moment is established. For example, the abiding of these things refers to the characteristic of obtaining oneself, and not to the nature of one's own movement, because in the later period, abiding does not exist, it is the nature of existence.

The characteristics of possessing my nature later on are not what is obtained. If it remains, it should also become irreversible, because there is no difference later on as before. And it should become the very nature that is not its own. The production of later and later fruits is done by the power of the earlier and earlier causes, so on the continuum, the power of conditioned phenomena is not accomplished either. If so, will what is not momentary become the destroyer? The answer is "in another" etc. Whatever is not momentary, because it is impossible to change into another, so it is not abiding by itself, what does it do? Saying that this will become its destroyer, this has already been said. Again, if this has not become the destroyer, will it become the producer of the momentary? The answer is "if the cause of this is not seen" etc. The establishment of the reality to be measured depends on the measure. Whatever becomes its name, such as clothes, etc., apart from this extremely established cause, by manifest and non-manifest quantities, or like eyes, etc., the cause is seen from the reversal of the result, but it is not certain. If the power is not seen, but also the cause is considered, then at that time the conditioned phenomenon or other staffs, etc., will also become the cause of production, it should be observed, this is the remainder. By what do you completely examine one of the natures of conditioned phenomena that cannot be completely determined, and become completely satisfied? There is no difference in not seeing the power. This is also not what you allow as the cause of production, but you allow it as the merit of the clothes, etc., that will be destroyed later after they are produced. For this, it has also been said first that this does not do anything at all. This fault is said after admitting that it is the cause of production, sometimes it is thought that this is understood in this way from outside the rules of one's own sect. Thus, etc., is to summarize all meanings. In order to refute the merits of the characteristics of Dharma and non-Dharma, it says "with intention" etc.
