It is reasonable, because it is the wisdom of different and non-different. Just as there is the wisdom of different and non-different for form and so on. For pot and so on, there is also this wisdom of different and non-different, which is the reason of self-nature. If for blue and so on, because they gather in one meaning, this wisdom of difference and non-difference is a false establishment. Therefore, the reason is uncertain. If for blue and so on, it is also admitted that there is a reason for difference and so on through indirect means, then what is to be proven in the example is incomplete. If you say so, it is not right, because there is no confused wisdom, so it should not be a false establishment, this has been refuted. For one's own basis, because there is no attachment to them, it is not reasonable to understand by their power. Therefore, from where can form and so on become its reason? What is there to examine for happiness and so on that occur in previous and later times? Because there is no gathering in one meaning there. Furthermore, because time and direction have already been prohibited, the difference and non-difference that are the cause of it also do not exist, from where will the reason become uncertain, and from where does it need to be its reason? By means of that which exists simultaneously with the wisdom of observation, difference and so on will arise, but direction and time are not truly existing in one direction, because they are of one nature and have no parts. Falsely establishing different limbs is also not reasonable to follow the function, because it is related to the nature of things, and the false establishment is also false, therefore it is not uncertainty. Other reasons should also be stated as not established as before. Having number and so on, others, in order to establish the object of the qualities of number and so on related to the occasion, that is welcoming doubt. All these qualities of number and so on as mentioned are not different from substance, because they are the cause of distinguishing those substances. Whatever distinguishes from other things is not different from it, like...

Like things endowed with blessings, etc. Therefore, if here one merely establishes the negation of being non-different from substance, then there is the fault of proving what is already proven, because all conventional existents are considered to be such that they cannot be referred to as 'that' and 'other' due to the very absence of substance. However, here, with 'If' and so forth, one raises the doubt of the whisperer's response. He says: The distinctions of aggregates, continuums, and states are not such that they cannot be referred to as 'that' and 'other,' because they possess individually determined qualities, like form and taste, and so forth. To this, one responds with 'That itself' and so forth. If one considers the very possession of the qualities of ultimate truth to be the reason, then at that time the reason is unestablished, because for the Buddha, the conventional existents such as continuums are not established as possessing a definite meaning in ultimate truth. Or, generally, it is a reason, because it is also absent in things like sky lotuses, and because it is not sentient, etc., since there is a definite quality upon examination, therefore the reason is indefinite. Saying it in that way means that it is a general examination, speaking without abandoning the quality of possessing no proximate statement, which is the meaning. This reason here is indefinite, because difference, that is, otherness, and non-difference, that is, non-otherness, these only abide in things, not elsewhere. Continuums and so forth are also merely nominally existent, and not substantially existent, so how can it be established that these are different and non-different from things? Therefore, in the first statement, if one merely establishes the negation of numbers and so forth being non-different from substance, then it has been shown that it is proving what is already proven. Furthermore, if it is not merely establishing the negation of non-difference, then what is it? Because the negation itself makes one understand the establishment, thinking that one should establish difference from substance with a double negation. To this, here, with 'If substance and so forth also,' and so forth, one raises a doubt, and refutes with 'Because numbers and so forth are unestablished,' and so forth. Thus

It is not the case that there is no difference from matter. What is it then? It is the meaning of being 'otherness.' To show that the basis of numbers and so on does not exist, it is called 'collection and so on.' Saying it like that means one, two, many, and so on. If someone thinks that numbers and so on, which exist in the nature of matter, can be established as otherness, then it is said, 'from one's own nature' and so on. Because things are not different from their own nature, because that would become devoid of self-nature. What is contradictory is mutually contradictory. For difference and non-difference, with the characteristic of existing by mutually excluding each other, it is contradictory on one at the same time. If that is the case, having temporarily prevented the ultimate qualities of otherness and non-otherness, the ultimate of efforts such as wisdom is considered to be dependent on the self. It should also be seen that those are also prevented by preventing the self. It is also unreasonable for these to depend on the self, like this, do these depend on the self because of the cause of birth, or is it based on the cause of existence? For the time being, in terms of the cause of birth, it is not. Because there is no hindrance to happiness and so on, it will be born at all times. The so-called no other help means that there is no need for any co-worker, this has been studied hundreds of times. The permanent dharma also cannot produce fruit, because it is pervasive in sequence and simultaneously. It has already been shown that it is contradictory for the permanent dharma to function sequentially and simultaneously. It is also unreasonable to rely on the cause of existence, because existence is the nature that is not different from the existent. If it is its cause, then the cause of the existent will be spoken of. That has also been immediately prevented, because the existent is also the nature of complete ultimate self. There is no cause whatsoever, because it does not do anything to it. If existence is different from the existent, then it has not done anything at all, because it is the cause of existence that has become another meaning.
