As for what is said, there is a mutual difference between bigness and smallness, and length and shortness. Because we see different terms such as "from the big ones, it is long, and from the long ones, it is big." The direct perception of those yogis who see the difference between minute particles and shortness is just like that. This is the view of other schools. Other schools think that bigness and so on are also indeed established as other things transformed from form and so on, because they can be grasped by a mind that is different from the knowledge of that thing, just like pleasure and so on. Regarding this, if someone thinks that because it can be grasped by a direct consciousness that is different from the sensory consciousness that has form and so on as its object, therefore this is intended as the meaning of the reason, then at that time, the reason itself is not established. Because apart from the things such as form and so on that exist in this way, at the time of bigness and so on, it is not noticed as it appears in the mind at the present time. If someone thinks that minute particles and bigness and so on, that is, whatever mind that discriminates in this way, is grasped by a mind that is different from the knowledge of that thing, then even so, the reason is still uncertain, because there is no measure to harm the inconsistent side. Regarding this, there is nothing at all that can be truly grasped, because it is related to discrimination. For those who see form and so on moving towards one direction and so on, in order to show that they are different from different form and so on, it is merely the generation of the conventional concept of "big." Therefore, other things are not proven. For that very reason, because this concept does not exist independently of form and so on, the reason is also not established. The proposition is also harmed by direct perception, because the bigness and so on that are considered by direct perception cannot be noticed apart from form and so on. Therefore, why not regard the meaning as the nature of the thing itself, relying on the meaning of form and so on moving towards one direction and so on, and the thing that is different from the thing itself? If that is the case, then unseen and illogical things should be examined.
