It is only the nature of non-existence. In reality, it is the meaning of having directly seen and spoken about dependent origination. There is also no speech that is not made by a person, as the Blessed One said: 'Ananda, in that case, those great sages of the past were the creators of the Vedas and the users of mantras.' This is also intended to be explained later. This also shows the examination of listening and thinking, and the examination of measuring from oneself. If the Blessed One himself has fully understood all the perfect meanings, then why did he teach this dependent origination? Because he desires to benefit beings. It says, 'By desiring to benefit beings.' Benefiting beings is benefiting sentient beings. That is, having the means to realize dependent origination without error, abandoning all defilements and cognitive obscurations. Wanting to do that is wanting to benefit beings. That is the cause of teaching it. Where does this desire to benefit beings come from? It says, 'countless eons,' etc., meaning that in countless eons, one has become the nature of great compassion, which is an expansion of words. Even though the Blessed One has attained all the perfect meanings for himself, he also possesses great compassion because he does not abandon the work of benefiting others. If this action of becoming the nature of great compassion does something, what does it do? It says, 'By whom is the habituated one,' meaning that although 'by whom' is a general word, It refers to the Buddha, the Blessed One, because others do not have the qualities as previously stated. Dependent origination refers to relying on causes and conditions, and because of completely relying, aggregates and so on arise from completely relying. Therefore, it will be explained that the aggregates and so on that arise from the power of causes and conditions were spoken by whom. In this way, even though 'dependent origination' is shown to be different, in reality, dependent origination itself is the thing, and the reason for saying this is because one wants to understand that it is merely abandoning other differences. Or, dependent origination

Therefore, it is interdependent. By connecting the causes of many words, it is called interdependence. Or, it is without omission. All of this clearly shows that the Blessed One is the possessor of the perfect and true method of working for the benefit of others. For example, through the statement, "Who spoke of such interdependence?" it is shown that the Blessed One truly strives for the benefit of others. The Blessed One is the one who points out the correct path to heaven and liberation to others, and this itself is the realization of benefit. As it is said, "The Tathagata is the teacher, you yourselves should do it." The perfect and correct method of realizing the benefit of others is: to see the dharmas as they are, and great compassion. Because, even if one has compassion, if one does not understand the true nature of reality, one cannot correctly point out the benefit to others. Even if one has complete knowledge, if one loses love, one will not point it out; even if one points it out, one will point out something useless. Therefore, both the compassion and wisdom of the Blessed One are the correct methods of striving for the benefit of others. Seeing things as they are also shows that it is unrelated to autonomous hearing. Becoming the nature of great compassion also means possessing great compassion. However, do Bodhisattvas and Shravakas not also point out the correct way of interdependence? Then, what special excellence does the Blessed One have? It is mentioned as "the supreme among speakers," although Shravakas and others also point out interdependence, the Blessed One himself is the supreme among their speakers, that is, the chief. Because the suchness of dharmas is pointed out by the Blessed One. Because they themselves cannot point out interdependence as it is said, because the increase and decrease of all qualities and faults depend on the ultimate. Only the Blessed One is supreme.
