So, is the object that exists in the present different from the existence taken by the previous direct perception? Or is it the same? If it is different, then your commitment will collapse because your own language has shown the difference, and our claim will be established. If you say it is not different, then how can you say "known by the previous consciousness" if it is not known by the previous consciousness? If you think that even if sound and so on are no different from the moment, it will become like saying taken or not taken. That is unreasonable. Because, it cannot be established as: the dharma, sound, even if taken, but the moment that is no different from it is not taken. However, even if taken, it should be said to be uncertain, because there is no cause for generating certainty. Merely experiencing itself does not become certain, because it depends on approaching things, habits, and gratitude, etc. But it is impossible for you to be like that, because the previous direct perception is also the nature of certainty. Because, when it determines the nature of the object, the object that exists in the present, which is no different from it, must also be certain. If it is uncertain, then the nature of the object will also become the nature of uncertainty in the same way, because it is no different from the nature of uncertainty, so it must be uncertain. If there is a doubtful object, then saying that the knowledge of the cause of determination is valid is also refuted by this. Because, if there is a doubtful object, then determination is also non-existent. Even if other similarities arise, just like sound and so on, seeing knowledge will not doubt. Also, where it is said, "By the other, the meaning is understood," etc., inference and so on are mentioned, because "is its son," etc., is the object of inference and so on. If it is possible for direct perception to cause harm to the object, then it is not valid,

If it is certain, another statement is to understand the meaning, while perception becomes something else. Saying this is irrelevant, because it is impossible. Any statement that perception is superior is also irrelevant, in order to show this, it is mentioned "not deceiving meaning" etc. The non-deceptiveness of all valid cognitions is this, that is, being able to obtain meaning. This should also be admitted for all valid cognitions. So, why would perception become superior? If it is thought that only perception does not deceive meaning, while inference etc. do not, then it is mentioned "if that does not exist" etc. If that not deceiving meaning does not exist, then inference etc. would become non-valid cognition, because the reason for the name of valid cognition is not deceiving meaning, and that (not deceiving meaning) does not exist in this (inference etc.). If this inference, etc., thus, Asanga doubts the valid cognitions that were said. If asked what that inference is, it is mentioned "wanting to express the sun" etc. He (Asanga) says: The knowledge of the sun, moon, planets, constellations etc. that want to express the things that are the basis of inconsistent minds, are the objects of the moon, sun, planets, constellations, stars etc. that are determined at that time, because it is expressed by the words of the knowledge of the sun, moon, planets, constellations, stars etc. that do not observe the connection with the earth. Just like the knowledge of the moon and sun, planets, constellations, stars etc. created by the god Ishvara that appeared in the beginning. Wanting to express the sun etc. is the object, it refers to the substance of the sun's radiance etc. being the object. The distinction of not observing the connection with the earth is for the sake of the confusion etc. of the knowledge of the objects of the sun etc. belonging to the pictures etc. Other, refers to being different from that, it refers to the meaning of the time consciousness that is not like that. That very other valid cognition is also this, that is, which are those that rely on the general characteristics of form etc., and which are its support, and which are its object.
