From that refutation, what excellence is seen in measurement? Who considers that from oneself it is that, and from another it is not a valid cognition? However, from oneself, all valid cognitions, because they are said to be valid cognitions, after being born, oneself will not act on one's own fruit. In order to obtain self-nature, things depend on causes, they are agents; after obtaining self-nature, oneself will act on one's own fruit. Therefore, merely arising consciousness, because it depends on its own cause, they do not depend on it in order to ascertain their own qualities. Because in arising it has autonomy, valid cognition itself and certainty of meaning, without depending on its own cause, they change, like a pot and so on. In order to produce a pot, it depends on a lump of clay, a wheel, a stick, and so on. For drawing water from this, it does not depend on those. Thus, measuring from oneself, ultimately it is unavoidable. Measuring depending on others, it will become an endless fault. The root's own valid cognition, if it is established by another valid cognition, because it is considered to be there and there, ultimately it will not be possible to find a place to abide. Just as the first consciousness, depends on the non-deceptive consciousness that accomplishes the purpose. Likewise, the non-deceptive consciousness also depends on another non-deceptive one. If someone considers that from oneself it is a valid cognition, for the first one to change like that, for what reason does one hate it? If that is the case, depending on qualities, direct perception is a valid cognition. If there is no valid cognition, qualities will never exist. Therefore, in order to completely eliminate qualities, if one wants another valid cognition, for that also, which is completely eliminated by another, depending on qualities is a valid cognition. Like the first one, therefore, it will also become endless as before. Now and then, if one thinks like that, ultimately it will not be possible to find it. Or, the knowledge known by qualities, depending on the grasping of qualities is a valid cognition. One does not want the consciousness of the first meaning, it does not depend on the measurement of qualities. Therefore, even if one examines for a long time, if one admits that the contradiction itself is an unavoidable measurement, then abiding in the beginning is the best. Accomplishing the purpose and the knowledge of qualities, by what is it considered to be different? By what power does the first one depend on those? Therefore, dependent measurement exists in the realm of universally showing to all. Possessing harm and the faults of causes.

Indeed, it is dispelled by knowledge. Although it depends on others, it does not change without end. It depends on its measure, and it also abides in itself. Why does a valid cognition not establish itself through another valid cognition? Thus, that which is not a valid cognition by nature is not established by another non-valid cognition. It is not reasonable to abide by relying on similar kinds, because dissimilar kinds have different causes and abide firmly in their roots. For a moment, the knowledge of harm is the definite grasping of another meaning. Because it is an independent valid cognition, it is eliminated by the previous knowledge. Harm is also inflicted on it, and it becomes dependent again. If doubt arises in the former, it recedes with little effort. If another harm arises from seeking it, then, because harm has occurred to the middle one, only the former is a valid cognition. However, if one makes a genuine search with effort that follows, because there is no root, the knowledge of harm does not harm the harmful one. Therefore, because there is no clear distinction, the first of those with power by that which is harmful, the very validity of that is eliminated. Thus, knowledge with conceptualization does not abandon the three. Even if harm has not arisen from it, one should not doubt harm again. That which has not arisen from ignorance is also considered to be harmful. That which is of the nature of doubt, all expressions are lost. Thus, the son of the god of wealth reproaches the nature of doubt. The son of Kunti, born with doubt, has neither this world nor the next. For some, wherever there are as many clear-sighted ones as there are possibilities. Even if one applies as many to oneself, they do not arise, so they do not exist there. Those who strive for the sake of measuring meaning, again, those things are sometimes considered to exist in this way, but do not remain close to observation. Whatever is established by the differences of place, time, and human circumstances, the effort for harmful meanings depends on those. Because it dwells in a distant place, it is not seen correctly. For some, it turns into doubt elsewhere, but it is only approaching there. The limits of harm, namely time, people, and other circumstances, does it depend on them or not? Like mirages, it is like the mind. Thus, in times accompanied by armies.
