Regarding the aspect of maternal knowledge, it is very difficult to relate everything completely. Just as I knew in the past, and now also, the thought that "I am cognizing" arises. However, what is the moment of cognition for that object, needs to be examined. Is it past or present? Both or continuous? To that, the object of the initial cognition, it is appropriate to say "has been cognized," it is not appropriate to say "is cognizing." Because it does not exist now. If "now" is the object itself, then it is reasonable to say "it should be so," but saying "has been cognized" is false. Therefore, one should not examine both. Because both have already been cognized, and now neither is the cognizer. Continuous also should not be done, because neither exists. This is neither has been cognized, nor is it now, because it does not exist. Therefore, other than what is said, in which field of action would I have such a thought? Because it enters and has a constant thing, therefore this self can be established. Grasping the past cognizer with "I," it also applies now, because I understand with cognition. Just as it is cognizing now, the cognizer also exists yesterday. Because it is the cognizer and is itself, so yesterday is like the cognizer. Those cognitions are to be proven, the cognizer related to the same continuum, because my cognition is cognition itself. Everything that exists yesterday and today, are the same in meaning, like one mind. Like this, one should examine here. If the mind is constant and unique, if one wishes so, then the mind will also obtain its own nature. Mind and the individual, because it is the nature of our mind, so it is desired to be constant and unique. If different, it is a dependent object, for example, the nature of fire, always has the function of burning, when the object to be burned is near, it burns. Otherwise not, at other times also, for example, a clear mirror, and a stone of wood, whichever is near, it obtains its image there. Similarly, for the constant mind, the individuals dwelling in the body, holding the form etc. taken by the senses, this is my mind. Because it is near, so it obtains the function of being near, because the function is destroyed, so the mind is destructible. Just like burning...

Because of the absence of closeness, fire is not always a burner. The nature of the wisdom that realizes that is, wisdom is the function of knowing. Pots, elephants, etc., are wisdom. Because they are different, the world desires. Those who follow different meanings, etc., should not say that it is wisdom. If it does not rely on different meanings, then it is not without knowing. Thus, on the ground of emptiness such as elephants, etc., the consciousness that establishes the imputation, what kind of difference does it rely on? If there are clear things such as different places, etc., they are the cause. Why is the master of different times and places the object of all places? Thus, it is related to that place, thus, they have no nature. Therefore, even there, with that nature, why does it appear like that? Your treatises say that all wisdoms are external objects that are not wisdom. In that object that you want to say, there are no elephants, horses, etc. If all meanings are wisdom, and the nature of wisdom is permanent, then all times are all knowing. Therefore, why is it not knowing? What is the wisdom of sound difference? That is the object of taste, form, etc. Therefore, if the taste is not here, the different words will show it. All the things to be burned are not left. Fire is also always burning. If it is not the nature of other places, everything will become ashes. When the meaning of what is to be burned is close, that is the nature of burning. Thus, all meanings are burned at the same time and should not become ashes. The connection of blue lotus, etc., is also the same as mirrors and glass. It creates illusions in the image. It is the cause of momentary destruction. In other places, there is a difference, and one is the same time. Therefore, the shape of it is always, or the state of being away from it appears. Because of its firmness and bottomlessness, and because the embodied do not live together, the image in the mirror never holds. Those who live on both sides also become white like glass stones. Because of seeing this, it should not be possible to obtain the image with this. If the image of it is obtained, and if there is a real meaning in it, then with the difference of each, glass, etc., will become different. Therefore, all kinds of inconceivable, capable ones have this illusion, arising in wisdom.
