For example, the state of mind now, when it arises, it is also mind, this is the reason of the fruit of meaning. So, is it that liberation comes from merely manifesting that very nature, and isn't that very nature also the only one? As it is said: Liberation comes from seeing emptiness, meditation is the remaining meaning. Therefore, how are the two kinds of omniscient ones, and the differences in becoming Buddhas? This is not a fault, because all of this is spoken by the Blessed One in order to lead minds into the true meaning. Thus, this is the view of the Vaibhashikas: space and cessation are both unconditioned by the three constants. All conditioned things are momentary, selfless, and without an agent. The wisdom born of the senses is without variety, and atoms and so on are directly perceived. As it is said. The view of the Sutrantikas is: all of this is only knowledge, desire and so on appear as separate aspects. It is not an external object, because matter cannot be very clear. As it is said: The producer of self-characterized knowledge is not the object of the senses, and cannot be touched. As it is said. The Adornment Maker also said: If blue is the knowable, then how is it said to be external? If blue is not the knowable, then how is it said to be external? As it is said. So, if this very clear thing is only knowledge, then where does the existence of an external object come from? The external object is established from difference. Because it is not at all times and places that aspects such as blue are very clear. Even if it is only approaching oneself and becoming a definite appearance, it is unreasonable, because it unreasonably enters a definite object. Therefore, for these similarities, by the power of the uninterrupted dissimilar cause, it arises at some time and place, and one can definitely say that there is a little, and that is the external object. This external object is not dependent on the entities of phenomena such as having limbs and qualities that others manifestly acknowledge, nor is it the nine entities and atoms. To that...
