Furthermore, it is said that what is widely known as the objects of all bodies and places is only consciousness, and that is also self-awareness. Therefore, nothing is grasped or clung to. Through examination, fabrications arise regarding the objects of what is grasped and what grasps. Therefore, the consciousness that is separate from the objects of what is grasped and what grasps, which are universally fabricated, is true. Others, such as pure wisdom that is free from all stains of appearances, like the autumn sky at midday without impurities, are thought to be consciousness with substance. However, these appearances are only clearly shown by ignorance to be completely untrue. Therefore, what is called the grasped simply does not exist. Since it does not exist in any way, the grasper of consciousness that relies on it also does not exist. The view of the Madhyamikas is that consciousness also does not exist in the ultimate truth, because it cannot be analyzed. It is commonly said in the world that the nature of reason is the ultimate truth, but when this is analyzed, no nature is reasonable, because the analysis of one or many has been mentioned before. As it is said: Consciousness in the ultimate truth, the wise also do not accept, because it is free from the nature of one and many, like a lotus in the sky. The Venerable Dignāga also said: Whoever analyzes objects, that object does not exist at that moment. Because in those objects, there is no nature of one and many. Similarly, the Ornament Maker also said: When here there is no conceptual thought, and there is no other valid cognition, then, when being examined, what is there to refute in everything? Distinguishing between tomorrow and dreams, etc., or whether it exists in the ultimate truth, for those who see everything equally, the appearance of distinction does not exist. The connection should be made like this: Whatever does not become the nature of one and many does not exist in the ultimate truth, for example, a lotus in the sky. Consciousness is also not the nature of one and many, this is the pervasive non-apprehension. For the time being, the reason is not unestablished, because...

Because for knowledge with form, like external objects, it is impossible to have the nature of one and many, this is completely clear. For whom, in the world, what is termed as external objects, that is merely knowledge with form. Therefore, whatever harms the existence of external objects, that also harms the existence of internal objects. Because the nature of a coarse one or extremely small many is also unreasonable. If the form that has become the nature of consciousness, if it is a coarse one or extremely small separate many, then in the Ornament of the Middle Way, the great sovereign Bodhisattva said: If according to the number of forms, consciousness is admitted, then at that time it is difficult to avoid the analysis similar to dust particles. Thus it is said. In both cases, it is also impossible to eliminate the accusations arising on the side of external objects. Because, by what it exists can exist, consciousness is not an accusation with the reason of external objects, saying that what has color with the reason of harm is not without color, is not the nature of consciousness, this is also meaningless. Because for the very nature of having form, consciousness is also colored, because for the object having the appearance of form, this is merely colored. In the Voice of Logic composed by the great scholar Bhikshu Tharpa Jungne (Liberation Source Hidden) of Jagaddala Great Monastery, the complete severance of following others' inferences is complete. After writing this Voice of Logic, whatever merit I have accumulated, may this merit cause this sentient being to transcend and attain Buddhahood. The Voice of Logic is complete. This principle is based on the kindness of holy beings, for many internal and external scriptures, the appearance of greatly increasing interest, the translator monk Palden Lodro Tendar (Glorious Wisdom Steadfast), without relying on a Pandit, translated and proofread himself and determined it. May this benefit immeasurable beings! The Voice of Logic, by Tharpa Jungne (Liberation Source Hidden).
