Therefore, in order to completely eliminate the dispute about existing here, and to avoid the faults stated by the previous party, the word "any" is spoken. That is to say, the scope of the words of investigation lies in the elimination of the limbs of investigation. Its meaning is to eliminate through investigation. Here, regarding the matter of "valid cognition is the obtainer," because there are so many treatises on examining valid cognition, here it is only understood from the perspective of terminology, because it is for explaining in that, so it will not be said here. The essence of its meaning lies only in this: Whatever is said, "because existing things are not cognized by direct perception, therefore they are not established," these are all evil words. Non-deceptive knowledge is valid cognition. Non-deceptive is without deception. That is the obtainer. That is also the enterer. Because knowledge is the indicator itself, is the enterer, so the indicator itself is the enterer, as has been said. Therefore, as such, the one who establishes names, for the knowledge that is close to the need for names, is said to be valid cognition itself. Inference is born from its own category of discrimination, is the nature of clinging, therefore, for entering into establishing names and other limbs of names, it is not unreasonable. Direct perception also only observes the object, without clinging, for the one who establishes names, it is only unable to become a limb of names. Therefore, only the ultimate of clinging to seeing itself is the indicator of the object of entry. For the clinging to the object of individually eliminating each imputation, those clingings transform into one clinging, realizing the nature of one ultimate thing, it does not enter relying on other turns. Therefore, the direct perception consciousness of objects such as sound, the subject of dharma, etc., is the existence of the opposite of non-existence, abandoning the qualities of impermanence and momentariness, and is ultimately existent. That ultimate existence, because it projects momentariness with the nature of not arising without it, therefore, others who do not understand the function of valid cognition, the disputes about non-establishment, etc., should be abandoned by the doctrine of the function of valid cognition as has been said. In order to eliminate other faults, it is said that the rememberer is any.

Moreover, this is eliminated by the word "that also." Since the meaning of "in this" and so on has mostly been explained, one should not eat what has already been eaten. The phrase "that is that itself, its object" expresses it in terms of direct perception. Regarding "in this other continent" and so on, the teacher said, "This is a cow, one should not touch it with the foot," like saying "coming from another continent," one should apply it by reversing the order. The statement "seeing a cow in another place gives rise to recognition" should be understood as in another place, another continent, because it possesses the reason related to another continent. If so, the clarity of the cow will be clearly shown as different, because it is difficult to establish that it comes from another continent. The statement "recognition arises" means that a tendency towards manifestation arises for what was previously conceived. Therefore, the recognition of non-difference, which has the essence of recognizing difference, is itself degenerate and not a valid cognition, just as the moon associated with dimness is recognized as two. Therefore, even if a clear manifestation arises by knowing the one moon that is indicated, it is said to be degenerate because it is destroyed by being placed on causes such as dimness. The phrase "thinking thus" means that if one clearly recognizes difference, and the non-difference belonging to that which destroys non-difference by the characteristic of difference is contradictory, so one cannot grasp it, even so, there is no contradiction in grasping the generality related to it. Although the manifestations are different, that is non-different. What eliminates it is "that is also not permissible" and so on. Because you consider recognition to be direct perception, it is said that "that is realized by direct perception." This has also been stated here in the context of close presentation, that "here that is apprehended by direct perception." This recognition, which wants to manifest as direct perception, does not cling to seeing only the generality of the cow and so on, but because it experiences clinging to objects that possess the distinctions of color and shape related to birth and so on. The phrase "thinking thus" and so on is to doubt that others think that both are objects of recognition, and then to answer that it is not so. Others
