Because that meaning of discernment, it is certain that one cannot discern, for if one doubts the nature of the other, then one will also doubt the object to be discerned there. Nor can it be said that there is no doubt there in order to eliminate from the outside, therefore, the discernment that realizes emptiness through the nature of the other is what realizes the definitive meaning. Whatever ascertains the definitive nature, that is what has an object that is the exclusion of others, for example, just as the thought that ascertains the pot as definite, saying, "This is only a pot." Likewise, all discriminations are established by experience as holding to be definite. Here, too, the previously mentioned definite holding is not without reason, and since other reasons are also unreasonable, since the pervasive cause does not possess the nature of having a reason, therefore, the definite holding is reversed from the dissimilar side, so it has reversal, abides in the holding itself, so it is pervasive. Holding things and non-things in common, and holding outwardly, and that definite holding itself is only the holding of reversal, therefore it should be regarded as pervasive. If something is falsely imputed as being excluded from other things, then what is the exclusion, what is the boundary of the exclusion, and for what reason is it excluded, all three will become objects to be realized by discrimination, for example, just as when holding that Devadatta is excluded from offerings, all three are also held. Because there is no thing, the three things mentioned above are not suitable for being held by discrimination, and it is not an experience either. Nor is it always reasonable to be a self-cognizant discrimination that is not the nature of experience. Therefore, how can it be called falsely imputing the nature of excluding others? Because discrimination is the nature of ignorance, it cannot grasp its own characteristics. How does it falsely impute to be functional? Because it falsely imputes to be like existence and non-existence, and being able to relate, and externality itself, and certainty, therefore it falsely imputes to be the ultimate exclusion from others. Like this

If the meaning of negation (lDog pa) is mainly attributed to things, then because the very nature of a tree is necessarily understood as the opposite of non-tree, this cognition is dependent on existence and non-existence. Similarly, if the ultimate of negation is understood, then one will definitely be attached to it, and if one understands negation from others in this way, then it is reasonable to hold that something that is very different from external objects is also held to be external objects themselves. Therefore, if the nature of negation from others is attributed to things, then it should be certain that this nature, which is related to existence and non-existence, is necessarily attached to, and can function, is like attachment to external objects. If someone asks: Isn't it that I am not attached to the understanding that "I understand the negation from others"? Answer: For example, although there is no experience of things that appear to have generality, and generality, particularity, and things with particularity, however, just as others believe that by understanding particularity, one can see the special manifestation of generality, because it is unreasonable to impose things that are related to existence and non-existence and necessarily attached to external objects. Therefore, although it is said that the negation from others is imposed, it is not certain that this very conceptualization is the understanding of having negation. Therefore, when the conceptualization thinks "this is having negation," it will necessarily examine all three aspects, but it is not right to examine the negation, the boundary of negation, and the reason for negation separately. Here, the conceptualization that functions with the nature of not being mixed with others actually understands the negation from others, and understanding the negation from others actually understands the negation, so there is no fault of needing to understand three aspects. If it is thought that because a thing has one function, it is examined for its negation from other things that do not have this function, then when the result appears, it will be considered to have this function. Then, for things that have not been seen before, how can one understand the negation of the nature of what is seen from others by clinging to what has just been seen? Because the result has a special nature, the conceptualization will have its result
