It is what makes the nature that deviates from those that do not have fruit clear. If it is said that at that time even some fruits are not seen, how can they not be seen? When the one who realizes experiences the very seeing of the fruit of appearance, because it is certain to make that seeing on appearance, therefore, it is certain by discrimination to deviate from those that do not make that seeing of appearance. If seeing as it is is also not different? Therefore, when the one who sees the object ascertains that it deviates from those that do not have its fruit, if because the seeing is different, something will not be perceived as being the same as something else, then, the slightly similar nature of trees and so on is perceived by discrimination, is that so? Yes, the individual differences are each different, so the seeing is also different. However, the certainty that arises immediately after seeing clings to the absence of difference. Therefore, the clarities that make one seeing perceive the same nature that deviates from those that do not produce that fruit. If how does discrimination definitely grasp the various clarities that make one same seeing, and by deviating from those that do not make it, it is certain that there is no difference, similarly, if all the seeings also definitely grasp the deviation from those that do not have that fruit by the very same fruit, then it must be certain that there is no difference.

Therefore, it is necessary to ascertain that what is seen is not different. From there, the appearances that have the same result of seeing should be made into one. To that, the various discriminations cannot touch oneness with that very discrimination. Because, for what has been ascertained, discrimination is able to grasp, but oneself has not been ascertained by it. Other discriminations also cannot grasp the discriminations generated by seeing, because they are not different. Because, in the immediate experience of seeing, the discrimination that arises, at the very moment of arising, realizes that the appearance of the object of seeing and the seer are not different. Therefore, even if the discriminations arising from seeing are considered not different, what else can other discriminations do? Even so, clinging to appearances as one is not predicated on clinging to seers as different. However, the object of seeing and the seer are realized as not different at the same time by the certainty arising from the power of seeing. Therefore, just by making the clinging one, it is held that there is no difference in seers, and just by making the seer one, it is also clinging to appearances as one. Why say that? Furthermore, just as a vase can hold water, no one thinks that appearances can be seen by the seer or clung to by the seer. So, why say that appearances are seen by the seer, and the seers are also acted upon by discriminations, therefore realizing them as one? Listen to my answer to this statement: Discriminations that have the reason of the power of seeing are not said to be not different because the results are not different, but because the objects are not different. For example, the discrimination arising from seeing a tree attaches what kind of meaning in the same way, because other discriminations are also like that, so the discriminations made by seeing a tree will cling to the same meaning. For these, I do not think that I have fully understood the meaning of this knowledge, but because they do not have different clinging to the meaning that is shown, it is only said that their objects are not different.

The meaning of clinging is non-difference, and clinging to non-difference is also clung to by itself. Therefore, other conceptualizations cannot ascertain these as one. Because these are clung to by themselves, a recognition arises that follows the aspect of a single clinging, thinking, "This is that which was seen before." The meaning examined as non-different is also fabricated as the nature of what is seen. The meaning of what is seen is the object of viewing itself. Therefore, with the nature of fabrication, one grasps seeing and viewing as non-different. If that is the case, then what is manifested by the meaning of fabrication is mixed together, but not for the purpose of making one seeing. If you say it is not for the purpose of making one seeing, then why do you say so? Like this, because of the object of seeing itself, those manifestations are understood as similar, and the object of seeing is the act of seeing, not something else. Grasping seeing as non-different is also solely due to the non-difference of the nature of fabrication, and not due to other fruits or connections. Therefore, there is no sequence of grasping non-difference here. Conceptualizations grasping the nature of fabrication are grasping it as one seeing. Therefore, both the gradual grasping of non-difference and the statement that conceptualizations themselves or other conceptualizations should not be grasped as one are refuted. When we understand the fruit as the fruit itself, we do not say that conceptualizations grasp their own characteristics as one. However, when seeing in connection with the fruit of experience, it is merely clinging to non-difference. As explained before, when conceptualizations differentiate seeing and the object of seeing with the fabricated nature of conceptualization, they understand them as non-different. Even so, the fruit of clinging to one meaning, which is one seeing, and because of the non-difference of the seeing of the fruit, the collection of its own characteristics will also be determined as one. If the fruit of ascertaining as one is grasped as one seeing
