Just determining how much exists, everything is inferred, because all combinations are uncertain. If so, seeing other smoke in the courtyard of the house and determining that there is fire, then that cognition is a valid cognition. However, it is not memory itself. Because what exists in the courtyard is not fire, but the nature opposite to fire, which needs to be treated as a thing, and this is understood as before. When the combination is different, because different smokes also act on other things, their objects are only different valid cognitions. Also, when inferring fire from four smokes in four directions, if one of them is useful, then it is also hoped that only at the moment of inference will there be a definite attachment. Because what is desired to be obtained is itself useful, they are grasped by different valid cognitions with different combinations. To express all of this, it is said that just as the fire cut off by different smokes is close. Therefore, it should be obtained through the power of certainty, not through the power of pursuing things, which is reasonable. Because the time is different, the things are also different. For example, seeing the son coming at night, even if the son comes in the morning after seeing him, seeing the son at night is not a valid cognition, because there is no special son coming at midnight. The so-called "aspect" refers to the nature that can function. In that "aspect", color is ultimate, but shape is not, because atoms do not have length, etc., and there is no form other than atoms. Atoms are color, and even if there is shape, it is no different from the atoms of color. Therefore, for example, the momentary blue, etc. is no different from blue, etc., and if one does not cling to blue, etc., then it is not the thing itself that becomes its nature, and so is shape. The general dharma aspect exists in the nature of difference, and if one does not cling to difference, it cannot be understood, and if one clings to difference, it can be understood, and if it is uncertain, it is determined by other valid cognitions.

Even if it is an illusion, it cannot be said that it is not the thing itself. Why? Because the illusion of water must be an illusion of something that has water, and the existence of other things is also perceived as the characteristics of other things, so there is no illusion about anything. Similarly, if the whiteness of the conch is abandoned, and the shape that transforms into its own nature is abandoned, if it is reversed into yellow, then the shape that has transformed into its own nature is reversed. Therefore, there is not even a trace of non-deception in perceiving the conch as yellow, because white and yellow are different. Therefore, due to the difference in form, it is impossible to obtain a white conch from yellow. So, how can a white conch be obtained from starting with the knowledge of yellow? It should be said that it comes from other knowledge. If the appearance of white and yellow are considered to be related, then it is inference, such as inferring the body hidden inside the wall. Also, for example, mirages cannot be obtained from the knowledge of water, but are obtained from other knowledge, or starting from doubt, obtaining things from other knowledge, even from the knowledge of touch. The visual consciousness of the eye seen through the hole in the door seam can grasp the location of the treasure located in the depths of the room, so it can be said that the treasure has been obtained. Therefore, due to the nature of existing in mutual exclusion, the contradiction with certainty, and the extreme uncertainty, it is not an object. If so, then when non-momentariness, coarseness, smallness, unclearness, and mixture, and things located far away are determined, how can momentary, subtle, clear, large, and unmixed things like trees be obtained through valid cognition? Please consider the reasoning! Here, the nature of things with shape that must be realized is not obvious. Blue is also a common collection of momentariness and non-momentariness. For the appearing blue, a distant object is not contradictory, or it can be fast, but there is no certainty. Therefore, if it is determined as a common nature due to some reasons of illusion, even if it is asserted as non-momentary, that is all.
