Now, the differences in the shapes of pots and other bowls, etc., that are shown, those differences do exist. We do not deny that, but for those minute particles that exist as substances, there is no distinction of shape. Why is that? Because there is no distinction in size. Like this, the size of the minute particles is called round, and for this roundness, there is no distinction. Are the minute particles of a pot also another substance, and those of a bowl also another substance? If so, how can there be no distinction in size? Therefore, it is said, "minute particles, etc.," because even if the minute particles of pots and bowls, etc., are different substances, there is no difference in roundness, therefore, there is no distinction of shape in the minute particles. Just like your view, the quantity of minute particles, all that exists as substance, just like that, all the sizes of the minute particles are of the nature of roundness, and the roundness of the minute particles is also of the same nature. Therefore, how can they become different because of distinction? Although it is thought that the shape of the aggregate is coarse, however, because it is a substance, it must also become partless. If it is not like that, if this is with parts, it will not become a substance. Because there are no parts, how can there be different arrangements? Those with parts will be arranged by various abilities, but those without parts are not like that. Thus, after negating the shape distinction of the minute particles, in order to conclude, therefore, it exists in non-substance. It is said, "Therefore, it exists in non-substance," because in the way that has been said, for those without parts, it is impossible to have different arrangements, therefore, one should only look at those that do not exist in substance. In order to explain the meaning of the scripture spoken by the author of the treatise, it is said, "The distinction of shape is, etc.," the distinction of shape exists only in those that exist in conventional truth, because they have parts. It is not like that for minute particles, because they have no parts. According to the Vaibhashika view, pot
