The reason for saying "it will not regress" is the same as the previous explanation. The proponents of established tenets say that if that is the case, then "everything" etc. is mentioned, when all things, all times, and all forms exist, then all things are closely connected in all places and at all times. Even so, it is only seeking the rice ear of rice, and from the form of barley, it is only seeking the fruit of barley, not from this rice ear. One does not sow barley in a field for planting rice, and one does not sow rice in a field for planting barley. When it rains in summer, one plows, and in winter, one does not sow barley. Seeing the accumulated cause is like this, not like that. If one distinguishes this, yogurt etc. are not fruits, but milk etc. which are considered fruits are fruits. Similarly, plates etc. are the support, and cypress trees etc. are the supported. Sprouts etc. are the fruits at the time of growth, while flowers etc. are not. The nature of fire is to burn, but water is not. In this way, recognizing this in everything shows the function of the cause. Here it says "it will not change either," it does not refer to the difference of becoming a fruit. If there is no distinction, what fault is there? It is said "at the time of some things" etc., when some things, slight forms, in some meanings, at some times, there is no distinction of cause, then all progress will become without following and regressing. If all places, times, and forms are the same, then because there is no difference, how can one rely on difference to follow and regress? Because others doubt, it is said "if things have no difference," etc., if it changes like that, then entering in some situations and regressing in some situations will become the situation caused by that. The proponents of established tenets say, then at that time, the word "non-existence" is spoken of for all places.

If one desires that, then what state does one temporarily enter and leave? And what is the designation made by that? Someone says: Is it not established by the name of "non-existence" that pervades all places? The answer is: Saying "in some places" etc. At some times, because of the action of some parts, one desires the name of "non-existence," then what is the reason? It should be said like this. If there is no reason? The answer is: Other than non-apprehension etc. Because other than the stated non-apprehension, there is no other mode of reasoning. If it is said, "Here there is no cold touch because there is fire," then how is that non-apprehension? The answer is: Negation and affirmation etc. In the case where negating some things obstructs other meanings, then there is indeed non-apprehension. In the case where establishing some meaning obstructs some things, then non-apprehension is also the reason. In any case, if the seen meaning is not negation, then "non-existence" itself cannot be established. Therefore, non-apprehension that establishes other meanings cannot mutually hinder each other. Even if here, non-apprehension itself is considered to be established, is that what is desired? The answer is: From non-apprehension itself etc. When one accepts the name of "non-existence" in some cases, then in all cases one must accept the reason for that name of "non-existence." What is the reason? The answer is: Because there is no difference etc. If here, from the non-apprehension that has become the object of perception, some parts have no difference, then in some cases, the reason for the name of "non-existence" will not become non-apprehension either. Here, others say, if all valid cognitions are reversed etc. For the power that all valid cognitions possess, it should be called "non-existence." Because valid cognition is the understanding of the object to be measured by reason, therefore, because there is no that valid cognition, other objects to be measured do not exist either. The proponents of established tenets say: Where is wisdom very immature etc. However, if these are good understandings, then why to laugh? Because inference etc. are reversed.
