The 'gag pa' refers to the incompleteness without a proposition, and so on. Stating a proposition is merely for the sake of a slight indication. From this, connection and conclusion, etc., can be slightly grasped. If the intention of 'od byed' (a commentator) is that the incomplete proposition, which is slightly indicated, is only inferior, so is the incomplete proposition a place to be refuted? That is not reasonable, because whatever makes the argument valid, and is understood implicitly, without sound meaning, and connects the statement to be proven as an argument, that is what should be refuted. For example, 'sound is impermanent,' when using this sign, 'whatever is made is impermanent, and sound is also made,' when saying this, the meaning to be proven can be understood from the two sentences, so the words of the proposition are meaningless. What is inappropriate to say when it is related to meaning and related to the dharma of the subject that has relevance? No, performing correct analysis, etc., is the function of the commentary. The so-called 'therefore' is because whatever meaning can be understood through implication, the use of sound should not be restricted. Here, refuting the reason that penetrates, stating the contradiction is: if so, one should not say 'sound is also made,' why? Because the statement 'because it is made, it is impermanent' itself can understand both meanings of 'sound is also made, therefore it is impermanent.' Because the former can only understand that sound is made. Since the sound of the occasion also resides in the mind, what follows is only born from memory. If there is no understanding, one should not do the same thing again. Even if one says 'sound is also made,' it will not change. One should only say 'whatever is made is sound,' because without being made and impermanent, it will not arise. If one says that because it is established in others, one should also show impermanence in sound, that is doing something that is in accordance. For example, if sometimes there is a definite understanding, then here, for the opponent, in that example, saying 'it is made,' one should not induce the law on the subject, because it is not desired, so one should only show the relevance. In that case, or in the case of uncertainty, it should also be like this.

Moreover, with regard to other things, if the operation of collecting the dharma of the subject (ཕྱོགས་ཆོས་བསྡུ་བ་) has been performed, then it will also become a statement that cannot be established. In this regard, I will gather these in my mind, either through the distinction of conditions, or in a way that is undisputed and without doubt in itself, and then collect the dharma on the subject, that is, "sound is also created." When the debater has certainty, if there is no createdness and impermanence, then in the case of the unchanging that has been established on other things, it can also be stated that "sound is created," and only these need to be stated. Thus it is said: "For the example, its own nature, and those things that do not understand the cause, show to those wise ones, it is only stating the reason." So it is said. These and those, because of definitely promising, are placed in the situation of the particularity of the place where the remainder is excluded. That situation of particularity also said "is establishing" and so on. So, having stated after definitely promising, what is the commentator saying, what is the teacher going to say here? Indeed, nothing at all is said, the teacher speaks with his toes, and also follows up to understand its meaning. To say that "saying sound and meaning is also stating" is slander, and it said "different from following up." Following up is summarizing. Following up is not shown by repetition, because sound can distinguish meaning, so it is reasonable. Showing what is to be established, from where it shows that the promise has been established, this is the summary, so it is explained, and because many sounds are seen, in the near future, it is also necessary to determine its ability, and it must also be understood. So, if repetition itself does not gain anything, why strive to clarify this meaning? Indeed, one should ask questions like this, such as what is it like for outstanding logicians. What should we do, those of us who are concerned about others and think? It is enough to happen incidentally. For this, there is also a second Sutra Pitaka, which is to abandon meaning and focus on sound itself. That is the teacher's approximate statement, it is only symbolic.
