If someone asks, "Is it like what is said here, 'no self'?" The answer is, "Saying 'no need for reason' is irrelevant because it is not helpful." Any example that contradicts the reason, such as "sound is permanent," and so on. If it is said that the proposition contradicts the reason, such as "non-caste," and so on, then here it is also said "this also," and so on. If it is thought that the contradiction that relies on both is also reasonable, then here it is also said "relies on both," and so on. Just like this, by abandoning the examples given, the refutation of the opponent's view is explained. As has been shown, those who mock, in the manner of drawing pictures, should also point out the contradictions with the proposition and the example. The use of the word "manner" is to explain or demonstrate. If it is not like that, then combining it with other later words would be inappropriate. Mentioning the mocker is because it is the characteristic of a hypocritical person. Just like this, the mocker, in order to amaze people in a certain situation, even if he abandons painting, will show off his mastery of various different techniques, such as combinations of Palabhanjika and so on. Other similar situations, such as a person skilled in illusion showing the appearance of elephants and so on on a single Tala leaf. These, like the light (referring to the moon), are also like that. Just like this, temporarily abandoning the various different characteristics of what contradicts the reason and what appears to be the reason, these have been briefly shown. And, just because one wants to show them in detail, what else needs to be done? It has been eliminated to show them in detail and the various different characteristics of what contradicts the example and what appears to be the reason. Among them, "that," and so on, refers to whatever contradicts the proposition and the example, because it has the opposite of the established dharma, therefore it will contradict the example, and "contradicts the proposition and the example" is redundant. The words should be connected like this: whatever is the same as the established dharma exists in its opposite. The example refers to the dharma that is considered a similar example. If the dissimilar example is not the opposite of the dharma to be proven, then what contradiction is there in this? The example here is like sound and a pot. If it becomes a contradictory example, then if the established dharma exists, and other

And when the uncommon is strongly established, it appears as a contradictory reason. That which is common with others is that which is not common with others. Saying with others is having said from the established dharma. Establishing difference from the established dharma is not manifestly contradictory. Having contradiction from the established dharma, if it is established in this way, it means. Because it is the result of establishment and examples, this means that its dissimilar aspects such as space enter, and from it the opposite, the vase, enters, and there are also similar aspects, dissimilar aspects, and common aspects, which are the remainder of the statement. Explaining the common uncertainty, for example, because what is to be established and examples are measurable, it is certain to enter into what is not established at all. Is that certain to enter into the similar aspect? Or is it uncertain to enter into the similar and dissimilar aspects, giving rise to doubt. Doubting the opposite, for example, all men are not omniscient, or not free from attachment. Because it is said to be a person on the great road. The uncommon uncertainty that is absent in the similar and dissimilar aspects is that sound is permanent, because it is audible, and so on. Others say that there is no fault in the reason that does not enter into the contradictory example and the opposite enters, for example, sound is impermanent, because the differences in conditions are different, the example of the similar dharma is like space. The example of the dissimilar dharma is like a vase, for this. Here, the reason for entering into the unestablished, here the unestablished is not, because the reason exists in the dharma. Uncertainty is also not, because it does not enter into both, and because the relationship is established. Contradiction is also not, because the opposite of the similar aspect does not enter into the dissimilar aspect. The contradiction between the proposition and the example is a fault of reason, it is a contradiction of the proposition that transcends the object, if it is said like this. This is not reasonable, in the reason that doubts it.
