Therefore, this is called damage to the commitment, a place to be stopped. Why? Because sound is committed to as impermanent. The word "sound" in the commitment expresses the subject distinguished by the dharma, because it is the generality of a part. This shows that here, the view of Dāvadāza is abandoned and discarded, because what is the cause of abandoning the commitment? Therefore, what is it that harms the commitment, who has made a clear distinction? Considering from other aspects, whose is this? By knowing one's own and others' positions, this is damage to the commitment. If one thinks that non-combination itself is damage to the commitment, then, because there is no other situation, it is necessary to clearly express the meaning. What if there is another possibility? Because the main reason has been shown there, others are also only being shown. Here, these explanations are also accusations of defects in reasoning, and so on. Why? Because the refuter refutes by pointing out the defects in the argument. This will harm the commitment, because it is an accusation of correct defects. Another argument is that here, the universal is permanent, because it can be perceived by the senses, therefore sound will also be the same, this statement is irrelevant. Merely pointing out the self-existent universal essence, what would the universal essence be? Even if it is an object of the senses, is sound also permanent, understood as permanent without examination? It will become like this, the universal is also permanent and is an object of the senses, but because the object of the senses is also seen on the impermanent pot, doubt will arise. Furthermore, because of inconsistency, by knowing the dharma, thinking that this is also unreasonable here, so it is said "its dharma", because the universal is also permanent, it is its dharma. Because when it is said that sound is impermanent, some will say that sound is permanent, which is closer to the inconsistent position, not the universal, because it is a different subject. Like this, permanent and non-

Why is that? Because of understanding the dissimilar aspect. Or, the word "by this," as it is said, this itself is the main reason, without stating the part to be proven. Regarding refuting the meaning of the proposition, showing its meaning by analyzing the dharma, this is called "the other proposition," which is the second characteristic root. It is a place of defeat, and this should be applied to everything. Here, it is said that the reason for refuting this meaning exists in the dissimilar aspect. In this way, because it becomes the cause of the difference of the dharma of the similar aspects, the meaning shown from the previously stated meaning of the proposition is to transform the proposition into another proposition. For example, a pot does not exist in all places, similarly, sound also exists, so like a pot, it will become impermanent. Sound also, this is the remaining part. Regarding these refutations, it is said "here" etc. Because the commentator explains through the Pramāṇavārttika, therefore wanting to be defeated here, therefore welcoming the doubt is: Is it said that the distinction of the reason is made through "not existing in all places"? Because the dissimilar aspect with the distinction of the reason does not exist, therefore the other proposition is not a place of defeat. By showing the distinction of the reason, the reason becomes another reason, this is a place of defeat, so this is very reasonable. Like this, when the wise analyze the nature of the property of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, पक्ष, पक्ष, side/subject) with wisdom, because it cannot be established to be said as another proposition. When others say that by showing the distinction of the reason, the reason will become another reason, becoming a place of defeat, that is very beautiful. Because that itself is, The other proposition established by wisdom is because of being unrelated. For example, stating and being in accordance with dharma etc., the dharma being in accordance with the thing to be proven is the reason, but because there is no other proposition to show the characteristic of its proposition, which is the thing to be proven. If with this promise, the proposition is proven with the proposition, then merely abandoning the proposition will not become the desired establishment. Even so, it has already become another proposition from the initial previous one, but it does not state the thing to be grasped by the power of the reason. Therefore, for the sake of proving this kind of proposition, the proposition
