I think not pointing out faults is not a mistake. If asked, what is the fault that can be established? The answer is: incompleteness is six types, that is, one by one and two by two, the ability to establish is not stated. If it is not agreed that in the conforming and non-conforming sides, having and not having are combined at the same time, it becomes six types of incomplete faults, then how should it be considered? Because it is closely combined from all parts, it depends on those different pervasions, therefore it is established in this way. If so, then when the following and reverse etc. are not indicated, should it also be said to be a fault of the example? The answer is: this may become a fault for others, but for the argument, it will not only have one fault, the exposition of the eighteen similar examples should be read in detail in the Nyayabindu. It is not stated what sound to use to read those contents. Not stating is also due to three reasons, that is, it has been stated that there is no fault in the ability to establish, etc. If the debater points out the fault as a reasonable point to refute the opponent when stating the ability to establish without fault, then for those who themselves have faults and have no knowledge and ability, even if they do not point out the fault, because the debater combines the flawed ability to establish, therefore, in order to establish the debater's failure, the debater is not like this. Here it is said: even if the flawed ability to establish is stated. If the debater abandons the refuter, so the ability to establish is flawed, even if that is the case, then why did it not fail? It has been stated that it is only etc. If so, why is it not a failure? Because it has retreated from that very thing that has been established. This is not a dispute, because no refutation has been put forward. Another answer is: the perverse understanding of evil people will not make the terminology beautiful, therefore, some debaters who want to win do not use rational methods, but use inappropriate terms such as abandoning words. If one truly pursues that meaning, then the refuter understands through the reasons stated, and that meaning should be acknowledged through reason. If, because of the power of being biased towards one's own side, what is said is also understood through reason at that time.

Therefore, for the opponent, since their reasoning does not possess the ability to understand the meaning, but understands through the approximation of the senses, the debate that follows the reasoning of the noble ones will collapse. If someone says that guarding the truth is like setting up a thorn fence to grow seeds, it must be guarded. The master replies: It is not like that. Guarding the truth should be like this: it must be uprooting wrong understanding from the root. The so-called "without" refers to the statement of the thesis and the refutation of the seemingly valid thesis, which is selflessness. The so-called "another way" means that there is no wrong indication. If there is no fault in the thesis, then how is it? The answer is: Even if you think it is a fault, it does not harm the established conclusion. For example, when proving "made" and "sound is impermanent," it should not be mentioned "made," because even if you do not admit the merits of space, it can still be proved. Some blind people do not understand reason, but accept the treatises, and if they want to accept everything, then just by those words it does not constitute a fault against the treatises and vows, so that is also unreasonable. Merely accepting based on the treatises does not constitute proof. If it is not like that, then just because the question is raised, it will lead to proving in a reversed way, thus contradicting this vow. Similarly, Devadvaaja also states another fault, that claiming "no self" etc. is contradictory, because "self" refers to things, and "no" is the negation of it. This is not reasonable, because what they want to negate is the nature arising from beginningless habits, appearing as permanent things, and the special characteristics of self, such as permanence and pervasiveness, which others acknowledge as things. Therefore, this "self" is set as the subject, and thinking about existence and non-existence. Is this "self" the meaning of the appearance of conceptual thought? Or, like the intention of manifestation, is it produced from things? Or not?
