The term "reversal" means that the second case is implicitly understood by the intervention of other categories of causes, so what has not been accomplished should not be stated. The commentator of the Compendium cites "If the place is indicated," etc., and "not" etc. is the answer. If "if" etc. is said, it is an accumulation of arguments, that is, the component of achieving the promise will be obtained, because like the subject word, the reason for understanding the object to be proved is determined. If it is said that the reversal of the reason causes doubt, then it is said: Because the property word of the subject is also similar to it, it will become contradictory and uncertain, because even if there is a subject property, it will not be understood. Because it itself creates doubt, the subject word is not a prover, just like common words. They stated "because they are similar to this" etc. This is a demonstration of the component that creates doubt. What clarifies these contents is: "The property word of the subject" etc. This indicates that the immediately preceding reason is wrong. So, if the relationship is not shown, is the proving component of the subject property, such as the audible, not without error because there is no dissimilar side? When it is the proving component of showing the relationship, the uncertainty that arises from it is eliminated without hindrance. This is what is thought: Because it is similar to this subject word, it will also become a prover. However, if the statement is true, even if it does not exist, the object to be proved will not be achieved from it. If the already harvested crop is not harvested with a sickle, then what is the point of doing so? If the relationship is not shown, the reason will create doubt. Therefore, it explains that it creates doubt. If that is the case, then since the object to be proved cannot be achieved by other expressions, it will become meaningless and will not become an expression. If it is not so, how can it prove the subject? This will also contradict the inference for the benefit of others showing the third way as stated by the master. If that is the case, proving by stating the property and relationship of the subject

How then is the statement to be refuted to be avoided? There is no contradiction, for by the dharmas related to the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject), the thing to be proved is stated, so it is clear, therefore others are closely connected with the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject). It has already been said that the words that have been promised to prove the statement etc. have been abandoned. The meaning of what has been said is this: because the అనుగమ (anugama, concomitance) and వ్యతిరేక (vyatireka, exclusion) of the dharmas related to the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject) itself are the reason for the establishment of the meaning that is intended to be expressed, otherwise it is not. Therefore, in order to prove the meaning of the teaching to be inferred, the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject) shows the dharma, not the other, which constitutes a contradiction. The statement of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject) is clear. "By those" means that the statement of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, subject) is the same as the statement refuted by the हेतु (hetu, reason) with three characteristics, thinking that, it is a statement of the words of the हेतु (hetu, reason), because the statement and the meaning are the same. To that, we think that the explanation of the thing to be inferred is the field of दृष्टान्त (dṛṣṭānta, example) and हेतु (hetu, reason), therefore there is no contradiction. "Because" means, because that is the truth of the treatise on logic that needs to be expressed, so the combination of many connections is unconnected. It is enough to negate the distinction of understanding the reversed characteristics by that itself, as something that happens incidentally, the real one should be expressed. The part of the nature of that thing being established is not the part that clarifies which part of the dharma of the original meaning is established, these are two verses. What is not wanted to be understood is the external opponent. Words of deception etc. that rely on the treatise, as unconnected things that happen incidentally, are only to be abandoned, so they should not be expressed extensively. For example, when someone asks whether there is an independent self apart from the collection of mind, senses and objects, a rational person would say: प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) is an object that does not distinguish between existent etc. objects and non-objects, therefore, my perception etc. with objects, is confused with my objects etc., and knowledge is a different knowledge that needs to be understood, because it has an arising that depends on its own cause, so it is the knowledge of another person.
