It is designated as expression. It is said that those which are the speaker speaking, the action of moving, and the knowledge with the form of words, are called expression. In order to show how the mind that motivates is the nature of the cause of actions and knowledge with the form of words, belonging to one's own and others' continuums. The mind that motivates is also explained starting with "those of them," etc. The proximate cause refers to the uncommon cause. The mind that motivates is the only proximate cause of actions and forms of words belonging to one's own continuum, and the sense faculties are the conditions for those related to other causes. That proximate cause is also established in relation to the tenets of others, but one's own tenets hold that the proximate cause is the alaya-vijnana. It is not the mind that intends to express. Thus, for the time being, it is shown that actions and forms of words belonging to one's own continuum are expressions themselves. In order to establish those related to other continuums as well, it is stated starting with "those generated by the proximate cause of expression," etc. Whatever the proximate cause of expression is, it generates actions and knowledge with the form of words related to other continuums. The related cause generated by it is the expression that it designates, and it will be designated as expression. Is it that one's own motivating mind recognizes through expression, so it is considered expression? The actions arising from the speaker's continuum and the knowledge appearing as expression are not apprehended by the listener, because both the speaker and the listener only experience their own appearances. So how can those two that are not apprehended become expressions, and one wants to initiate realization? Therefore, it is said "for myself and others," etc. "Myself and others" refers to the speaker and the listener. I and my experience of appearance

Experience is each experiencing their own appearance. The experience of appearance by two people with cataracts is that two people with cataracts see two moons. Because it is similar to that, it is like that. A definitive consciousness that apprehends one meaning is considered to be such a consciousness. Its cause is the previous consciousness that experienced the definitive apprehension of one meaning. The habituated imprint produced by that is the nature of ability. Its arising is transformation through the characteristics of arising and ceasing. The nature of arising refers to the essence itself. Its distinction is that it abides in the nature of being able to closely generate a definitive consciousness that apprehends one meaning. This is also without beginning, and it is also time, so it is time without beginning. Because it exists from then on, it is time without beginning. Or from time without beginning, it gathers without beginning. Time without beginning is time without beginning. This is also meaning and also one, so it is one meaning. It is going and words and so on, the expressions of oneself and others are all merged into one by wisdom. The consciousness that apprehends one meaning is the apprehension of one meaning. The definitive apprehension of one meaning is definitive consciousness, like this, the speaker also thinks, "What I have said, the listener will understand," and the listener also thinks, "What this person has said, I understand," thinking like this is the definitive apprehension of one meaning. Whatever arises from a single cause called "universal instigation," those are what arise from a single cause. The speaker also calls the consciousness of the actions and words of the listeners, the consciousness of the expressions of oneself and others, as expression itself, this is what is closely called expression. Like this, the speaker and the listener each experience their own appearance, but in the actions of those two, the consciousness of the form of one's own words, whatever arises from a single cause, those are called expression in order to definitively understand as one meaning.
