Furthermore, if there is no cause at the time of the effect, what is the meaning of this statement? This means that when there is no effect at the time of the cause, then that which is non-existent is like a rabbit's horn. How can it be of benefit? When there is no cause at the time of the effect, then that is like a dead body. How can it be of benefit? That which cannot be of benefit is to be rejected. Why? Because it is powerless. This says that it is powerless. Because of what is it powerless? Like a body without power, it has no power to be of benefit. Moreover, this speaks of faults. If it is said that it is because of a relationship of one meaning, this explanation is because of reason. If it is said that it is because of a connection of one meaning, that is the meaning of this. These two, this explanation, means that those who wish to manifest as cause and effect are easy to understand. If it is said to be the nature of cause and effect, it is the meaning of wishing to allow it. At that time, with the reason that the numbers say that two, etc., are related, do the left and right horns of a cow also only obtain cause and effect? This means that the two horns, left and right, of a cow also have two, because they are related to one. Therefore, those two should also obtain the objects of cause and effect. Thus, if one does not wish to allow it, it means if one does not wish to allow those two as cause and effect. That which should also change from this means that because of this, those who wish to manifest also do not change, etc. Those who speak of outside and inside, horns, etc., are summarized because of their relationship. Those who are outside and inside and horns, etc., only have one horn. Therefore, those two should also obtain the objects of cause and effect. Thus it is shown, if it is said that because of a connection of one meaning, one allows it as the objects of cause and effect, then at that time, the two horns also have two, because they are connected to one, those two should also be allowed as the objects of cause and effect. If it is not so, then it will not be reasonable for those who wish to manifest. If the other party says that because of a relationship with any one, there is no one who is not related. Is that so?

If it is said, what is the nature and essence of relation? To say that things are called related because they possess me and any one thing is not so. However, if it is said that it is called related because it is related to one thing called relation, that is not permissible, and this "not permissible" is a word of negation. The explanation of this, "some meaning of things exists in two," is the word "it is a relation," meaning that the meaning of things existing in two is called relation. The explanation of "from that" is "clearly related to two meanings," that is, the words are combined with "clearly related to two meanings." Because it exists in this, it is clearly related to two meanings. Or, whatever is the state of being clearly related to two meanings, that is clearly related to two meanings, meaning possessing two things. Furthermore, the explanation of "its" is, "if the nature of its relation is unreasonable," meaning that other natures of relation are unreasonable. By what can its difference be distinguished from numbers and so on? It means, by what reason can the nature different from numbers and so on be acknowledged? This shows that if the nature of relation cannot be expressed except by being clearly related to two meanings, then by what can the nature different from numbers and so on be acknowledged? Here, if the opponent says, "if it exists, it will exist," meaning that if the seed exists, there will be a sprout. "If it does not exist, it will not exist," meaning that if the seed itself does not exist, there will be no sprout. Both existence and non-existence mean that if the seed exists, there will be a sprout, therefore, both are expressed with the word of existence. If the seed does not exist, there will be no sprout, therefore, both are expressed with the word of non-existence. What is existence and non-existence means what is the existence and non-existence of the relation of seed and sprout. Its difference, that is, what is the special combination, that is called relation, meaning the object of both existence and non-existence.
