If someone asks: If one realizes that birth and non-birth are of the same nature, how can one abandon it? Answer: It is not so. If you follow other cognitions besides those established by valid cognition, then the second moon, etc., should also not be abandoned. If someone asks: Is it because there is a damaging valid cognition that it is distinguished and abandoned? Answer: Here, for the nature of a definite thing, birth and non-birth are mutually contradictory, why not consider it as damaging? If one distinguishes that a diamond has the nature of a stone, and its nature is born, then if the previous and subsequent times are not exhausted, how can one recognize them as different? Then it would lead to the result of consciousness, etc., being produced simultaneously without being born. If someone asks: Is it because it is close to the eyes, etc., that it arises without prior ability, is it gradual? Answer: If so, when recognition arises under the influence of the same things, earlier and later, the objects to be grasped, such as stones, which have different previous abilities, are also damaged by inference or understanding of meaning, so it should be admitted that experience is not valid cognition. Therefore, the nature of birth and non-birth is contradictory, so only by ability can one produce something that has not been experienced before. When holding on to the appearance of other similarities, why not think of it as mistaking what is seen in front of one as one, or like cutting off fingernails, etc., and then growing back? If someone asks: Because it is a characteristic close to the co-operative cause, it is the nature of that ability, so it will not lead to the production of something that did not exist before. Answer: Because other rational people, etc., are not mentioned here, it is said that it is not its nature. Other things such as seeds, etc., like the ability of things, completely abandon its nature, and are not even the later authors. Why? Because the ability that is said is the characteristic of other co-operative causes, which the wise say is expressed by the sound of difference. Therefore, if it exists, then it can produce results merely by existing. Moreover, the co-operative causes, for those things that are not momentary, will produce faults, in order not to accept this fault. The moment itself, for the characteristic of determining to do the same thing, is considered to be the co-operative cause.
