Because it is not seen to be included in one meaning. If so, then the existence with certainty and the mere non-existence, would those also become faults of being merely there because of mutual exclusion? The answer is, because it is said to have certainty, the purity of grasping with certainty shows that it is not merely. However, it is merely together. From where is it said? Because when it is certain, the language of grasping with certainty is the nature of both. If it is certain, like that, speaking in common, merely speaking of following and contradicting, being included in it, therefore both are understood. However, becoming mutually inclusive, speaking with one word, the conclusion is that the reason for saying that is that it exists only in the aspect that corresponds to that itself, which does not mean that it exists in the corresponding aspect, but if that is the case, is the corresponding aspect also non-existent? Similarly, the other side is also, the word that it is only non-existent in the corresponding aspect does not mean that it is merely non-existence. However, it also exists in the corresponding aspect, because the word 'merely' excludes the two of existence or non-existence of that nature. Because this will not be said to be different, therefore when following and contradicting or non-existence are of different natures, how can it be separate from that? However, the one language made with the word of certainty, because it understands both, should not be spoken separately. Even if it is done that way, what is not understood will not be understood, but it is said that the combination is the definite meaning. If, like the nature of existence of following or contradicting is not the mutual nature, and therefore those two are mutually other ways, similarly, making treatises is to make others know, therefore knowing itself is different from the three natures. Because it will not be included in it, will it therefore become another way? The answer is, because it is said that knowing is like that, the nature of existence and non-existence of following and contradicting are mutually inclusive, similarly knowing is not like that, to make others know

Because it is not included in the three characteristics of the treatise that is spoken of, because it is the characteristic of others. It is the fruit attained by the object of the third way of being known by others. From that treatise, by what means is the third way realized, and what is known is not grasped. Therefore, not grasping the knowledge that is not different, it is included in the three characteristics, that is the meaning. The so-called "therefore" is because it is not different from the three characteristics. If it is said that knowledge itself is only the aspect of explaining the reason for applying the sound of knowledge, then, at that time, because it is not the nature of that sign, it is not that characteristic. Or, if the act of being relative to knowledge is said to be knowledge itself, then, at that time, the reason for expressing that the knowable exists is because knowledge exists, and merely by establishing the three ways, all the knowledge that establishes its existence is also abandoned. Therefore, even if it is relative to it, the existence of the act is established even if it is not said, so it is not necessary to say it separately with that word. Thus, the treatise is said because it is known by others, so the knowledge that is not grasped is because it is not different from the three characteristics. Because that itself is a harmless object, etc., the conclusion of excluding the three ways is that it is said that it is not the six characteristics of reasoning. If so, it should be said that it is only the three characteristics. The commentary on the Drop of Reasoning, the explanation of the six characteristics by the Brahmin Ajata, the fourth (chapter) is completed. By the lamp of reason of the words of the Sage Mother, which exhausts all the paths of evil discrimination, may whatever merit is accumulated by this commentary make other beings completely pure. The extensive commentary on the Drop of Reasoning, made by the Brahmin Ajata, is completed. In the city of Kashmir, the center of Jambudvipa, the commentary of Dharmakirti, the heart of the wise, from the translation of the Pramana, the heart of the Dharma, may it become the heart of those who have no heart.
