It is complete severance. Entering is complete entering. All things are two aggregates, namely, establishing as that and other than that. Therefore, if it is established as unmixed by the power of the valid cognition of complete severance, then how can one realize it for the sake of what is not sought? If it is said that this and these are not the nature of others, and others are not the nature of this, this is the aspect of discrimination, and if it is thought that direct perception is non-conceptual, then how can it be established from non-confusion? To this, the following has been said, such as following. Direct perception is that which arises in its own object at the time of establishing and refuting discrimination, and that itself is the fruit of this, and that itself is considered to be constant, not other. Therefore, even if one completely severs all natures without the part of direct perception of one meaning, but because there is a cause of confusion, one cannot generate the wisdom of following and reversing moments and so on, therefore one does not consider it to be a valid cognition. If it is thought that if it is established as two aggregates, it will not be confused, therefore it is an examination of the valid cognition of non-existence. However, if it becomes without other aspects, if the non-existence is established by direct perception, then it will be thought that there is no discrimination at all. To this, the following has been said, such as unexamined. Therefore, from what is completely seen, severing all different things, that is, separating from it and pervading by another, this is established only by establishment, and other aspects are established as not being outside of that itself or other than that. Therefore, for that meaning, one should not examine the valid cognition of non-existence. Or, if it is not pervaded by otherness outside of what is completely seen and what is to be seen, then it will not be established by direct perception, then by what does it become a direct perception without a third aggregate? Examining the valid cognition of non-existence from that will become meaningless, to this, that has been said. If the third aggregate to be examined is not pervaded by what is seen and what is other than that, therefore, if direct perception does not distinguish the meaning of its own object, if it is not separated, then one should examine the other aggregate of that meaning.

If so, because there is no distinction made on its own object, it would also follow that things are not completely distinguished, that is because its object is of the nature of being mixed with the entirety of the essence of other things, if it does not completely distinguish itself, and it completely distinguishes itself, then how does it, or the other, not prove pervasion of all? If that is not the case, then not even one will become it or the other, because the reason is the same. Because it is so, therefore, for some things, valid cognition (pramāṇa), such as direct perception, fully enters, when completely distinguishing the nature of its own distinct determination, it distinguishes the incomplete essence of that other than it. From the establishment of it or the other itself, that very third one shows that it is different from the other itself, is it to prove that the other pervades all? Or because it contradicts it, is it to prove that all things are two kinds? Thus, when showing that this one function of valid cognition just spoken of is easily understood as a conclusion, it is said, "Like this." For some things, direct perception and so on will enter. Distinguishing the essence of other things other than that thing itself, that is, making it different from it. Its essence should be understood as an unmixed essence. Ultimately, that is because it is its essence, and because it follows the essence of the direct perception of such a thing. Is this distinguishing the essence of other things? That is because it completely distinguishes that incomplete essence of other things, and similarly, the other itself That is from it, distinguishing from what appears from it. From where? From it, from its own object. Not only does one's own object distinguish from the other, but the other is also from its own object, it should be said. From where is this? The other is distinguished from it, that is, it does not distinguish from it. Undoubtedly, what is completely distinguished is the other itself from what is completely distinguished. Because it is so, therefore, when the valid cognition itself completely distinguishes one thing, it proves that there is no other way, that is, it is not saying that the thing does not exist. From where is this? It appears
