It only shows the non-commonality itself. The so-called "object that is different from what is not that" refers to the side with smoke, which is expressed by the word "that." What is not that is not that, which is a synonym for "other meaning." What is different from that is different from what is not that. Whoever has an object that is different from what is not that is an object that is different from what is not that. Whatever is the aspect seen by direct perception is the aspect of how it is completely seen. Therefore, it is thought that it is not a valid cognition because it holds what has already been held. If someone asks, how does conceptual thought hold the aspect of what is completely seen? The answer is, it has already been mentioned before, "after seeing the non-commonality," and so on. Only direct perception completely grasps the side with smoke as the nature of non-commonality, and expresses the non-commonality grasped by direct perception with words, thereby becoming direct perception again. Because there is no need to understand the meaning that was not previously understood, how does conceptual thought hold the meaning of what is completely seen? Therefore, if it is remembered in that way, then because it holds the meaning of what is completely seen, it will be denied as a valid cognition. The word "and" means to summarize. If there is no generality, how can conceptual thought hold the dharma of one side with the aspect of the aspect of what is completely seen? Not only that, but even if there is a generality, because it does not understand what can perform a function, it is not a valid cognition, which is the meaning of summarizing. Now, in order to deny that the other party does not want it to be a memory, but also denies it as a valid cognition, because it is an object of experiencing generality. Therefore, it is mentioned "because what can perform a function has already been seen," and so on. In this regard, whatever is the object that can perform a function is only seen by direct perception. After seeing it, whatever conceptual thought arises later does not understand even a little bit of the object that can perform a function that has not been seen. Here, the analogy is a dissimilar example. Just as inference understands the object that can perform a function that has not been seen, conceptual thought is not like that, he thinks. Therefore, conceptual thought

Because there is no seeing of the object that performs the function of a thing, there is no conceptualization, therefore it is not a valid cognition. The action of a thing is functioning. A thing is a need. Functioning is accomplishing. Accomplishing the function of a thing is accomplishing the function of a thing. To accomplish it, here, the word "it" is connected with the function of a thing. And the meaning of "also" is the meaning of "later". Therefore, to make the non-understanding of the function of a thing turn into understanding the function of a thing, that is a valid cognition. To this, some people think that only cutting off the function of a thing is a valid cognition, generally speaking it is not, this is just stating one's own view. Therefore, it is said "All those who seek the function of a thing, who possess knowledge" etc. For those who prioritize knowledge, all those who seek the function of a thing must seek whether it is valid cognition or non-valid cognition. Because it is considered that it is not okay for those who prioritize knowledge to be deceived, so they must also seek non-valid cognition. Or, this is just expressing it according to the way of the world. Most of the world is with conceptualization, so they will say it is done by the gods, or done by others, etc. To have knowledge is to have wisdom first. To this, some people think that generally speaking it is also able to function. Therefore, some people think that the knowledge that holds the general is also not a valid cognition. Therefore, it is said "Generally speaking, it cannot function at all" etc. If generally speaking it cannot function at all, then how can the knowledge that has it as its object be a valid cognition? If generally speaking it is not functioning, then what kind of thing is it? Therefore, it is said "After recognizing one's own self-character" etc. Recognizing one's own self-character is the cause of direct perception. By the power of it, the general that is held by the conceptual knowledge that arises later cannot function at all, that is what is thought. For this, for example, it is said "For example, after seeing blue" etc. For example, if direct perception sees blue, later there arises such a conceptual knowledge: this is blue,
