Etc., it is said. Smoke is the nature of being produced by fire, and also the crown of Indra, etc. It should not become the nature of being produced. "That and not that" are "that and not that," etc. What is produced by "that and not that" is what is produced by "that and not that." "That" refers to causes such as fire. "Not that" refers to the crown of Indra, etc. Why is it not logical? Because the nature is the same. It is said that if the nature of smoke is the same, how can it become the nature of being produced by "that and not that"? If it is said that the nature is the same because it is produced by "that and not that," what fault is there? It is said, "From the nature of producing smoke and non-smoke," etc. If it arises from the nature of producing smoke, then it will become the nature of smoke. If it arises from the nature of producing non-smoke, then it will become the nature of non-smoke. Therefore, the nature of smoke and non-smoke makes smoke become a contradictory nature. If it is assumed that it arises from the nature of producing smoke and non-smoke, then why does it become the nature of smoke and non-smoke? It is said, "The nature of the fruits, etc." Whatever is the nature of the fruits is made by the nature of the cause. Therefore, if it arises from the nature of producing smoke and non-smoke, how can it not become the nature of smoke and non-smoke? If it is thought that the nature of the fruits is not made by the nature of the cause, therefore, it is said, "Even if it does not depend on the cause," if the nature of the fruit does not depend on the nature of the cause, then it will become the fault of being without a cause. If it is truly without a cause, then it will not be definitely distinguished in place, time, and form. To conclude, therefore, it is said, "Thus, what produces smoke is fire, etc.," what

Because it is so, therefore. Whatever produces smoke, that is a characteristic of the collection of fire and so on. Smoke is also produced from the characteristics of fire and so on, and it should be regarded as just that. Just like this, in the world, whatever makes it hot, makes it cook, and produces smoke, that is known as fire. Whatever is produced by fire, makes the eyes shed tears, makes it black, and harms the throat, that is known as smoke. Like that, after fire and smoke are shown to be mutually dependent self-nature, in order to completely abandon the previous dispute, therefore it is said "Therefore, cause and effect, etc.", because in the way of saying that, the self-nature of cause and effect is certain, therefore the statement "It is not produced from different kinds" is established. If it is allowed that it is not produced from different kinds, then what will actually be established? Therefore, it is said "Therefore, fruit, etc.", because in that way it is prevented from being produced from different kinds, therefore it abides in "The fruit does not deceive the cause". If it is so, what merit is there? Therefore it is said "If the things of cause and effect are established", etc., as it is said, explain in detail, if it is established that the things of cause and effect do not deceive, then in the things that should be known and known, thinking that the fruit such as smoke is pervaded by the cause such as fire is established. In order to fully show the other confusions here, therefore it is said "Even from different kinds", just like apart from completely seeing, even from causes of different kinds, it is seen that a little fruit is produced, therefore if confusion is possible, then how can it be established that the fruit is pervaded by the cause? In order to show that confusion itself, it is said "For example, from cow dung, etc.", it is also seen that it grows from the seeds of Shaluka Rong, and also grows from cow dung, etc. The word "etc." includes reeds growing from horns and cow hair, and Durva grass growing from sheep wool, etc. The established limit says, kind.

It is said, "Not arising from dissimilar kinds." For example, rice and other things arising from cow dung and the like do not arise from dissimilar kinds. Why? Because the appearance of cow dung and the like is the very nature of the initial cause of the first arising of rice and the like. Therefore, cow dung and the like are not different from the cause of dissimilar kinds. If it is said, "Does a reed not arise from a horn in all places?" Therefore, it is said, "If it arises constantly," and so on. The cause of the first arising of a reed is only a horn. That which arises in this way, and later arises constantly, does not arise from a horn. It is said thus: The initial cause of reeds is in all ways only a horn. Later, they arise from similar previous ones to later ones. For example, the first smoke arises closely from fire, and the moments that arise later are like those that are not the cause of similar moments. Thus it is said. In this way, the nature of dissimilar causes is temporarily blocked. Now, in order to acknowledge the nature of dissimilar kinds and to eliminate errors, it is also said, "Or cow dung and, those born from others, etc." Cow dung and rice and the like born from others may have similar appearances, but the nature of those two, taste, and functions, etc., have different ripenings. Those that have cow dung and are born from others are cow dung and those born from others. The word "other" refers to the complete collection of its own seed. If it is said, "If the appearances are the same, shouldn't the nature also be the same?" It is said, "The similarity of things only," and so on. There is no certainty that all similar things will have the same nature. The cause of that is the cause of the same nature. Why is it not a cause? It is said, "Even those that are not different in appearance," and so on. In this way, some things may have the same appearance but have differences.
