The word "earth" is a synonym for "not being the nature of production." The word "also" indicates existence, and "like that also" is a synonym. "By one's own nature alone" is a synonym for "by merely seeing." "Alas" means not cherishing. Production is extreme production. Because this possesses that measure, this is of the nature of production. Not being of the nature of production is being of the nature of non-production. Because this possesses no cause, this is possessed of no cause. Suffering is a synonym for attachment and wretchedness. The opponent says, "I am not of that nature," etc. I would not say, "I am not the nature of producing fruit, I see it and produce fruit." However, those are of the nature of producing fruit by nature, and if I see those like that, it is only known that these are the producers. That production is that production. Those who possess that dharma are those who possess the nature of production, and that word is to be connected with the fruit. The proponent of established tenets, in order to argue like a mute, also says, "Does this exist in bliss?" etc. Alas, if it is true, you also say like this, if you want a permanent cause, those are the nature of the dharma of producing fruit, then those causes that possess all conditions other than that, do not produce fruit and remain in equanimity. Saying to be in equanimity is to serve existence. Although you have adorned many benefits by saying that, it is necessary to ask why those do not stop and produce, etc. What is the nature of the dharma of producing without stopping of those causes that want permanence, does it appear only at the time of the final moment, or does it exist before? Because this possesses the dharma of producing without stopping, the words are combined in this way, it is a synonym for the one who produces without delay. Because the opponent admits, he says that it exists, that nature like that existed before. Here, the similarity as a reason has not appeared.

It is said, "knowing," and so on. Because there is not even a little decay in any object, nor is there any arising, for those who have the nature of being solely constant, there is also no nature at all, because this is contradictory, so it is said, "previously existed." Decay and arising are decay and arising. Negating them is not decaying and not arising. Those who have the nature of being un-decaying and solely constant, they are those who have the nature of being un-decaying and solely constant. For impermanent things, even for a single moment there is no decay and arising, so it is said, "constant." Because it can also be understood as constant through continuousness, therefore it is said, "solely." The proponent said, "What is that?" and so on. It is said, "The nature of producing without stopping previously existed, but producing is not," Your statement is like, "It is both a mother and a prostitute." To this, if someone thinks that this is not the same as that, therefore, it is said, "It is also the nature of the Dharma of producing without stopping," and so on. If this is not the same as that, then what is the meaning of "producing without stopping"? And what is the meaning of "not producing"? It must be said. In order to welcome the opponent's sectarian doubts, it is said, "If its nature is common," and so on. If it is thought that producing fruit without stopping is common with the co-acting cause, and not separate from it, then the proponent says, "Then, merely is also other," and so on. If its nature is common, and not merely, then it should be connected like this: "Merely sand is also other, and common is also other." Why is that? It is said, "The characteristic of different things is," and so on. Different is the characteristic of various natures at all times. Again, in order to show in another way that fruit will excessively arise at all times, it is said, "If it is common," and so on. Things co-acting and co-

Even so, it acts only by its own nature, not by the nature of others. The nature of things was only like that before. Therefore, how can it produce lotuses and become fruit? It is thought that if the nature has the state of being like now, then it will produce fruit at all times. In order to establish sameness for the other party, it is said, "Whatever things are momentary," and so on. Even according to the view that things are momentary, if it is not produced solely, the proponent says, if it is established, etc., if it becomes solely, then the sole will also produce fruit. The other party says, why not? Why is it necessary to say that it is not sole? The proponent says, because it is momentary. This is said, this one has the same function, what is the momentary nature of its own nature, that is, from beginningless samsara, this is the first moment of its own nature. Therefore, one's own nature is definitely momentary. How can it become sole? To this, if one thinks that things are momentary, having one arising, producing fruit, this also needs to be established. Therefore, it is said, "How it arises has already been said." Abiding in one moment, how to produce fruit, just like that, those above also did not exist before, nor did they exist later. Nor is it a different nature, it has already been said in that context. When it is like that, things have the ability to produce fruit without interruption, having the dharma nature of arising in one moment, then how can it be before or after or different? This has the state of arising only from one moment, so it arises in one moment. In some books it is written "the moment arises on that," that is to say, this, for this obvious desired moment, only on that does it have the state of arising, so the words should be combined as "the moment arises on that." Before and after and each, here are explained as becoming other sounds. To this, if one thinks that seeds etc. have not become a collection
