Those that arise together are only momentary. These that have already arisen are not caused by the power of others. Although power arises from the causes of arising, however, considering the views of other schools, it is said to be "by nature." They believe that power comes from things that work together after other causes have already arisen. For those things that did not exist before and will not exist later, and do not have different natures, the result arises only in a very short time, and not at other times, such things that exist in an instant arise. The co-action of such things is the characteristic of having the same function, but not the characteristic of connecting with each other. To respond to the connection desired by others, it is said, "If that power," and so on. If someone thinks that each final collection of causes has power, then from where does that power come? The proponent of established tenets says, "From its own causes." From those things that are its own causes, the difference of causes arises. To respond to the doubt of merely preventing action from another's collection, it is said, "If those," and so on. Why can't those causes, such as seeds, produce their respective differences, that is, the nature of power, only without being close to other conditions such as water? Can it also produce in other situations? It is said, "Sometimes also in other situations," and so on. Sometimes, even without the co-action of water and so on, one's own causes will produce. If that is the case, what will be established? Therefore, it is said, "Therefore, sometimes even alone," and so on. When sometimes seeds and so on are produced by their own causes without other causes such as water, then any one of the seeds and so on can produce sprouts in some places, therefore, co-action cannot be said to be the characteristic of having the same function, this is the doubt of the similar side. Here, the proponent of established tenets says, "The continuum of formations combined with other conditions," and so on. Other conditions are other conditions, and being combined with those is called that. An instant is each instant.

Because these have different abilities, they are things with different abilities. Because they are fabricators, they are fabrications. What is called "impure continuum" refers to what is continuous. Which formations follow the continuum and are related to different causes and conditions, so that at every moment they have different abilities, those things, perhaps one can recognize their similarity through color, some shape, or any other form. However, it must be understood that their own nature is different. Even if the nature is allowed to be different, then why is this? Therefore, it is said "only some" etc. If different conditions establish different natures, then it is established that only some causes are the cause of some effects. What of what? Therefore, it is said "to this, having the collection of roots and senses etc., and uninterrupted objects etc." To this, when the collection of eyes and forms etc. is suitable for the object, they abide, and are considered to be the cause capable of producing consciousness. The cause of the reason for the eyes etc. to meet each other is the cause capable of producing consciousness, in this way, for things that follow the continuum, the nature of cause and effect should be distinguished. Interruption is non-appearance. Which are those etc., are interruption etc. Saying "etc." includes very far and very near etc. In the object, what does not have those, is having uninterrupted etc. Forms and senses are forms and senses. To this, which is the collection of attention etc., is the collection of forms and senses etc. For the collection of forms and senses etc., which has uninterrupted objects etc., is the thing having uninterrupted etc., this is both the thing having uninterrupted etc., and the collection of forms and senses etc., therefore it is the collection of forms and senses etc., having uninterrupted etc. One approaching another is approaching each other, approaching here is
