An elaborate explanation. Although there are many kinds of refutation arguments, refuting fire itself, etc., from fire, etc., is not established. However, in order to show that it is established only by the non-apprehension of the own-nature, the part that includes and conforms to reason is explained. Reason is shown by words such as "for all." The so-called "realm of kalpas," etc., is to show that the non-apprehension that the other party strongly asserts is ineffective. The characteristic of this inference is that the Blessed One explained it by showing the sign on which the inference is based. If, for this, the sign is that it will necessarily appear if there is no object to be proven, then it is the cause of the knowledge of inference. That is, monks, whatever is the nature of arising, all of that is the nature of cessation. In this way, by the object to be proven, the argument is widely shown, thus only completely showing the exclusion. That sign also only shows the three ways of own-nature, result, and non-apprehension. Among them, monks, whatever is the nature of arising, this statement explains the argument called own-nature. The so-called result is like: from smoke, one knows fire; from water birds, one knows water; a wise Bodhisattva knows the lineage from the signs. This only explains this point. By eliminating that mere non-apprehension is valid cognition, it also only shows the difference of non-apprehension. As it is said: Monks, do not measure a person by a person, nor take a person as a standard. Monks, measuring a person by a person will decline, and the standard of a person should be measured by me or someone similar to me. This is like eliminating that mere non-apprehension is valid cognition in the sense of the kalpa by its own nature, thus showing that only non-apprehension is valid cognition, and others are not. The so-called rational person, etc., is an inference for the sake of others, which is a language with five parts. The five parts are: proposition, reason, example, connection, and conclusion.
