And it also shows that this is the realm of the brother's own nature. The Sutra also says: "All phenomena are momentary, where is the impermanent action? The very nature of these arising is said to be the agent of that action." This explains that because the agent and actions and other things are truly prevented, it abandons what is included in all actions and so on, and prevents the result of the nature of the action from becoming another meaning. For inference, there also appears a reversed understanding, for example, grammarians say that inference is not a valid means of cognition because there is a possibility of error. The follower of the container says that only the single nature that is not permissible to others is realized by reason, and this is a branch, not the three modes of the nature of the subject-property and so on. For example, it is blue because it is its son. The reason that its son is apparent, although it has three modes, is not a means of realization because it does not have a branch that is not permissible to others. Even if there are not three modes, it is also seen that the reason is a means of realization only because it has what is not permissible to others, for example, things and non-things are the nature of existence in any way. Because it is the object of any kind of focus. There are no examples of similar and dissimilar dharmas for this, because the collection of all things is a thing, and non-things are taken as one side. Because there is nothing else besides these, what would be an example? The subject-property is also included in only what is not permissible to others. Thus, it should be said that the sign is the only way, and not the reason of the three ways. Others say that the subject-property itself, and the existence in the similar side itself, and the non-existence in the dissimilar side itself, and the possession of a harmless object itself, and the possession of the same number that one wants to express itself, and the knowledge itself, these six characteristics are the only ones. The Samkhya school says that inference is not established beyond one relation. Not establishing more than one relation is here close to being established.

They say that it is only knowing from the sign, wanting to infer, but not knowing the thing to be inferred. The teacher Vasubandhu also says that inference of knowledge is there in seeing the meaning of not arising if it is not there. This also considers inference to be only the knowledge of the sign, and the knowledge of the thing to be inferred is considered the result. Therefore, all these opponents also consider the result to be only something other than valid cognition. The Vaisheshikas and others also understand what is not truly established as being close to a reason, such as: I am all that exists, because qualities are observed in everything, and so on. The royal astrologers and others also rely on what exists in the dissimilar side as a reason, such as: sound is permanent, because it is measurable. Similarly, some people who want to speak think that not all are omniscient, because they are measurable, knowable, things, and existent. To distinguish these, it is necessary to grasp with certainty. The Samkhyas and others, even seeing that the reason is contradictory, still understand it as if it were not contradictory, due to the very wonderful ignorance that has turned their wisdom upside down. For example: the eyes and so on are for the sake of others, because they are accumulated, like the limbs of mattresses and cushions and so on. To distinguish these, it is said that it does not exist in the dissimilar side. Some, in order to establish their own tenets, also understand as a reason what exists in one dissimilar side, such as: sound is permanent, because it is produced immediately after being created. To distinguish these, it is a definite grasp. Grasping with certainty as a special place in either case is to fully show that being produced immediately after being created, etc., existing on one similar side, is also not contradictory to establishing impermanence, etc.
