Ah! One should remember the non-apprehension of appearance, which becomes the cause of understanding the non-existence of things. If one does not remember the non-apprehension of appearance, then one will not remember contradictions, etc. If that is the case, then one will not be able to know that the other does not exist by the very existence and negation of contradictions, etc. At the time of grasping contradictions, etc., one must undoubtedly remember the non-apprehension of appearance that exists, and only from that can one know that things do not exist. In this regard, even if the non-apprehension of appearance and the unseen are determined, the non-apprehension of appearance at the time of previously grasping contradictions, etc., which is now remembered, is the very cause of understanding the non-existence of things. Therefore, proving the non-existence of things is a different reasoning from the non-apprehension of appearance, such as the reasoning of non-apprehension of result, etc. Because the non-apprehension of appearance is abandoned from the gate of proving contradictions and negating causes, etc. Therefore, from the non-apprehension of appearance that exists at another time and becomes a bad object, one understands the non-existence of things, and these reasonings are also included in the non-apprehension of appearance. Thus, it should be known that all of these show that the ten reasonings of non-apprehension are included in the non-apprehension of appearance through the way of means. If it is said that the non-apprehension of appearance is a valid means for proving the non-existence of things and the term 'non-existence', then what is the use of the non-manifestation of non-apprehension? Therefore, it is said 'kalpa' etc., the place that is robbed by the three, place, time and nature, whatever is the place that is robbed is the cause of doubt. What is the nature? Answer: It is the characteristic of being the opposite of direct perception and inference, and whatever has the opposite nature is not the meaning of knowing the nature of the opposite and the nature of what is to be known. Isn't it that what is to be measured is established as existing from the valid means? If it is said that therefore, since there is no valid means, it is reasonable to understand that there is nothing to be measured, therefore it is said 'even if the valid means is reversed', if the cause and the pervader are reversed, then the result and what is to be pervaded will also be reversed, and the valid means is neither the cause of what is to be measured nor the pervader. Therefore, in the two valid means

Even if it is determined, the object to be measured will not change. Because it cannot be established in this way, non-appearance and non-observation are the cause of doubt, but not a definite reason. Whatever establishes the existence of the object to be measured by means of valid cognition is reasonable, because valid cognition is the result of the object to be measured, and there will be no result without a cause. The cause must be connected with the result. Therefore, the existence of the object to be measured can be determined from valid cognition. It is not right to determine that the object to be measured does not exist because there is no valid cognition. The chapter on inference for oneself, the second chapter, is completed. From the two inferences for oneself and for others, wanting to explain for others, therefore it is said that "inference for others is the statement of the reason with three aspects." Whatever has the three aspects of following, contradiction, and pervasiveness is what has three aspects. It is both having three aspects and being a reason, and that is what is said. This explains the reason with three aspects. Because it can show, it is said. What is that? It is words. Words can state the reason with three aspects. Because it is the most beneficial to others, it is for others. Isn't it said that the nature of true knowledge is inference? Why is the nature of words called inference in this way? It is said that "because the result is attributed to the cause." From stating the reason with three aspects, the memory of the reason with three aspects arises. Inference arises from memory. Therefore, stating the reason with three aspects is the cause of inference through indirect means. In this way, the result of inference is attributed to the cause of words, and a false establishment is made. Because of this false establishment, the cause is only expressed by the sound of inference, and it is only established as inference, but it is not actually like that, this is a summary statement. Whatever can be established and expressed by the sound of inference does not need to be explained in its entirety. However, because one wants to explain inference, there is no need to explain the nature of inference, but the reason must be explained. The reason is the reason with three aspects. This also
