The so-called "focusing on other dharmas," such as "for example," refers to giving examples. "Definite" means that it will definitely happen. "Indefinite" means that the definiteness itself is to be refuted. "Destruction" is the subject of the proposition. The so-called "also arising from things" is a distinction of the subject of the proposition. The meaning of the word "also" is that if what arises and is produced is also the nature of destruction, and it is not definite, then what about what has not arisen, let alone? Other causes, such as coarse causes, are other causes besides the cause of production. In this regard, destruction is dependent; the so-called "because it depends on this" is the reason. The so-called "dependent on other causes" is pervaded by indefiniteness; for example, dyeing woolen cloth, because it depends on other causes such as washers, it is indefinite. Indefiniteness contradicts definiteness itself, and destruction is also considered to depend on other causes, even the destruction of the nature of destruction. Therefore, by focusing on the dependence on other causes, which is pervaded by contradiction, definiteness itself can be prevented. The definiteness to be established here is a permanent dharma, and in terms of indefiniteness itself, it is not destruction. The two, permanent dharma and impermanent dharma, also contradict each other because they exist by mutually abandoning each other. Since this is the case, in the two that exist by mutually abandoning each other, whatever appears as one, it is necessary to refute the nature of the other. Refuting its nature is also established in the appearance itself, because refuting its nature is done in this way: if the appearance is a permanent dharma, then the nature of the permanent dharma will not be seen either. Therefore, it is said that it is not a permanent dharma. Even so, it is necessary to acknowledge that the permanent dharma itself, which is to be refuted, is the nature of appearance before refuting it. Even if things like ghosts that do not appear, if you want to refute that the vase is the nature of appearance, then if this appearance is the nature of a ghost, then it will appear as the ghost itself, then it is not an appearance, so it is said that it is not a ghost, which is done after acknowledging the nature of appearance. Therefore, vases, etc.

To negate that a manifest entity is an entity, or not an entity, or the nature of appearing or not appearing, is to proceed with the prior acceptance of manifestation itself. If this is the case, just as negating the appearance of a pot after accepting it is due to the non-perception of appearance, similarly, all things that possess mutual exclusion, the negation of other appearances is solely due to the non-perception of appearance. In this way, such a mode of reasoning is included within the non-perception of nature. Whatever is the result to be negated, and whatever is contradictory to it, that is what is to be observed. For example, this is called exemplification. Here, this is called the subject. The absence of the ability to produce cold, whatever causes of cold there are, that is what is to be established. Because there is fire, that is called the reason. Wherever the cause of cold is not seen, and the touch of cold is also not seen, there this reason should be applied. But if the touch of cold or its cause is seen, then it is understood as the non-perception of the result, or the non-perception of appearance. Therefore, that is also establishing the non-existence of a thing. Therefore, in any place where there is the touch of cold, but because it is far away, it is not visible to the thinker, and fire is of a bright color, so even if it is far away, it is easy to see, this should be applied here. Whatever pervades what is to be negated, and whatever is contradictory to it, that is what is to be observed. For example, this is called exemplification. Here, this is called the subject. The absence of moist touch, that is what is to be established. Because there is fire, that is called the reason. Wherever the moist touch to be negated and the pervading cold touch are not seen, there this reason should be applied. If these two are seen, then such a nature, or the non-perception of the pervading appearance, should be applied. In this way, this establishing of non-existence, for the understander, exists in a distant place. The moist touch, the difference of cold, and merely cold, are hidden. And fire, due to the difference in shape, even if it exists in a distant place, is manifest. Therefore, it can be determined that there is no mere cold in fire, and from that
