Contradiction is the meaning of a valid cognition that harms. It is impossible to correctly show selflessness through desire. Therefore, the explanation is as follows: For example, when spirits or special demons descend, they prophesy about things that have happened and will happen. Similarly, yogis also aim to prophesy about things that have happened and will happen without error. For example, Terminalia chebula and others have the ability to prevent future diseases, and sages and others aim to prophesy about ripening and so on without error. Furthermore, in the teachings of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha, the prophecy of the ten future omens is regarded as true, as well as the prophecy of "Ma" and others, the prophecy of the decline of the times, the prophecy of King Ashoka and others, and the prophecy of the Garden of Hope and Kashmir and other places without any reversal. These are examples of taking vows as the goal. In order to eliminate the inverted conceptualization of the object, it is said, "Its object is its own characteristic," meaning that whatever is shown by direct perception, its object should be regarded as its own characteristic. If it is said to be a general characteristic, that is not correct, because the general characteristic is without substance, and direct perception aims at the self-nature of the substance. If one wants to understand what the own characteristic is like, therefore it is said, "From the general meaning of near and not near, the different appearances that arise in knowledge, that is the own characteristic." Near means being in a suitable place. Not near means being in an unsuitable place, and not existing in all of everything. Near and not near are near and not near. These two can distinguish the clarity and unclearness of knowledge. When near, clear appearing knowledge arises. When not near, unclear knowledge arises. Whatever makes the appearance of knowledge different, that is the own characteristic. If the object is ultimately existent, then how can the object of direct perception be called the object of own characteristic? Therefore, it is said, "That itself is ultimately existent," meaning that that is both meaning and ultimate, so it is ultimate.

The term "true" means non-artificial, that is, a synonym for non-hypothetical. What truly exists is what truly exists, that is, one's own nature truly exists. Therefore, it will not become a fault of speaking as it is. Why is it said that one's own nature truly exists? Because things are only the nature of having the ability to function. The so-called "meaning" refers to need. The so-called "action" refers to behavior. Meaning-action is meaning-action, which is a synonym for "acting need." Among them, ability is the ability to function, that is, the self-nature of any thing that has the nature of the ability to function is the nature of the ability to function. Its essence is only the nature of the ability to function. Therefore, because it is the nature of the ability to function, it is said that whatever can function is a thing, and it also shows that one's own nature can also function. Therefore, one's own nature truly exists. The so-called "other is the general characteristic" refers to any measurable object other than the self-nature of explaining the self-characteristic is the general characteristic. Whether the object referred to is near or far, or not near, the knowledge will only become one form. This is the object of inference, that is, the general characteristic is only the object of inference. Because it is pervaded by having concomitance. Although this is inappropriate, it was not explained because of the fear of becoming many words. Like this, here, because it is the time to explain the self-characteristic, if it is reversed from that nature, it is easy to generate conceptual thoughts, so the general characteristic is said, and in order to say "this is the object of inference" in short words, it is arranged like this. Otherwise, in order to show the object of inference, all these words need to be repeated. In order to clarify the inverted clinging to the result, it is said that "direct perception itself is the result of valid cognition." Its connection is like this: if it is thought that direct perception is valid cognition, then the nature of comprehensively observing the object to be measured, such as form, etc., will become the result of valid cognition, just like when an axe cuts wood, etc., it will become fragments.
