That which is called "not fully shown" means that although there is pervasion, it is not indicated. An example is shown: In dissimilar examples, for instance, saying "sound is permanent because it is produced, like space." If someone says in dissimilar examples, "sound is impermanent because it is not produced, like space," then he has not indicated the pervasion even though it exists. Like this, if it is said that all things that are permanent are not produced, then the pervasion is indicated, but merely giving an example is not sufficient. That which is called "perverted pervasion" means that the pervasion is perverted, and the words are combined in a reversed manner. An example is shown: For example, saying "whatever is not produced is permanent," which, compared to what should be said, "whatever is permanent is not produced," is speaking in a reversed way. Those similar examples cannot show the common characteristic of the reason, that is, only existing in the similar side and not existing in all the dissimilar sides, or they cannot show the specific characteristic. Those similar examples cannot show what the common characteristic of the reason is, and what the specific characteristic is, therefore they are called similar examples. Because they appear similar to examples, they are called similar examples. Therefore, it should be understood that those should be excluded according to the meaning. Because those two ways cannot show the characteristic of the reason, therefore, those should be observed to be excluded according to the meaning. Thus, for the time being, the similar valid cognition has been explained. Now, it is intended to explain its antidote, therefore it is said, "Whatever speaks of incomplete faults, etc., are refutations." Whatever is incomplete, etc., those are incomplete, etc. Saying those is saying incomplete, etc., those are respectively refutations. Whatever speaks of previously established faults, that is, incomplete, etc., those statements are refutations. Here, the word "etc." includes unestablished, contradictory, uncertain, and their faults. This

Because it can state, statement is word. Which word reveals faults, that is called refutation. Why is that? Because, as it is said, it hinders the realization of the other party's intention. Because that word hinders the realization of the meaning that the former party wants to establish, therefore, that is called refutation. For the time being, those are correct refutations. Seemingly valid refutations are seemingly valid answers, and it should be recognized that seemingly valid answers are seemingly valid refutations. Also, what are those seemingly valid answers? As it is said, stating untrue faults is a seemingly valid answer. Those are both untrue and faults, so they are untrue faults. What is called untrue is unreal. Stating those is stating untrue faults, and it should be considered that which word states faults that are not actually established, those are seemingly valid answers. If it is the time to show true knowledge, why show those seemingly valid refutations? If answers and seemingly valid refutations are shown, then that is showing true knowledge with remedies. Just like this, because these are refutations of this, so one should completely abandon those to establish. At what time, because these are seemingly valid refutations, so one should recognize that one will not be frightened by those. When these are said, true knowledge itself will be shown in various ways. Therefore, the fault as previously stated will not occur. By analyzing each word of the "Drop of Reasoning", may the one who obtains great purity, May all beings obtain the nectar of reason, May it exhaust the ocean of samsara. The reason of reality as it is, Desiring the king of reason, With reason accomplished, The vast commentary, the subdued god, Made for the benefit of students. The vast commentary of the "Drop of Reasoning" Chapter Three, which benefits students, is completed. The volume of the vast commentary is: One thousand verses and, Similarly, thirty verses, Completely added up, it is clearly stated. "Drop of Reasoning"
