Therefore, temporarily it is to cut off the erroneous knowledge with obscurity. Saying "devoid of conceptualization" is to eliminate subsequent inference. Like this, non-deception itself should be acknowledged as the object to be attained, not the object of focus. If non-deception itself is acknowledged as the object of focus, then this will clearly elucidate the Yogacara's view, because Yogacara believes that all focusing consciousnesses are erroneous. Therefore, it is worthwhile to strive to refute their view, and to strive to follow the Sutra school and Yogacara. Both acknowledge that in the object to be attained, the nature of non-deception is non-deception. If that is the case, then subsequent inference will also become direct perception, because it is also considered non-deceptive. Therefore, in order to eliminate subsequent inference, it is said "devoid of conceptualization." Therefore, both distinctions must be stated. In order to eliminate the conceptualization famous in the tenets, and to show the worldly conceptualization, it is said that "conceptualization refers to knowledge, and the appearance that can be mixed." Because this can speak, it is speaking, what can speak is the general nature of sound. Mixing with speaking refers to mixing with speaking, mixing refers to relationship. Being able to mix with speaking refers to being able to mix with speaking, which is the exterior of meaning. Because it pervades concomitance and contraposition, it can speak, but the difference of meaning, the nature of its own nature cannot be spoken, because it is not pervasive. In which knowledge, speaking and being able to mix and appearance, that is speaking and being able to mix appearance, which is the term for the aspect of the general meaning of meaning. Also, because that is what can be spoken, it is speaking, whatever is the general meaning of meaning that should be explained. Mixing with speaking refers to mixing with speaking. Being able to mix with speaking refers to being able to mix with speaking, which is the general nature of sound. Therefore, concomitance and contraposition...

It is capable of expressing the direct meaning, but the difference in sound is not, because that is unique. In whatever knowledge, that which appears compatible with expression is that which appears compatible with expression, and this will reveal the meaning of the term "general characteristic of sound." It should also be understood that by explaining the phrase "that which appears compatible with expression" in two parts, both forms of concept are revealed. The word "knowledge" is a synonym for "wisdom" or "mind." "Separate from that" means separate from concept, and is a synonym for "separate from the mire of concept." Thus, this will indicate that any knowledge that is not a general characteristic of sound and meaning is a direct measure. For example, non-illusions caused by cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion, where "cataracts" refers to damage to the eyes. "Rapid spinning" refers to spinning firebrands, etc. "Being on a boat" refers to traveling by boat. "Confusion" refers to wind and bile mixing, causing imbalance in the body. Cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion are cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion. Whatever explains these, are cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion, etc. The word "etc." includes eyes turning blue or seeing yellow, etc. Whatever has the ability to generate illusion is that which generates illusion. That which does not generate illusion is that which does not generate illusion, i.e., cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion do not generate illusion, i.e., cataracts, rapid spinning, being on a boat, and confusion do not generate confusion. For example, the damage from cataracts will cause the moon to appear as two. Rapid spinning will cause a firebrand to appear as a wheel. Traveling on a boat will cause the trees by the water's edge to appear to be moving. Wind and bile, etc., mixing will cause objects to appear to be burning, etc. The statement "knowledge is direct" is from the sutras.
