Subsequently, pervasion and reversion are those that abide in the nature of one without the other. For example, where there is no pervasion, is there reversion? Where there is no reversion, is there pervasion? If these two were to abide in the nature of mutually determining each other, what would happen? If it is certain that one is absent, then there is no doubt that the other is present, because it has been said. When these two abide in the nature of one without the other, whatever is certain to be without pervasion will undoubtedly be certain to have reversion. Similarly, being certain of no reversion will also undoubtedly be certain of having pervasion. For example, wherever it is certain that there is no possession of life and so on, it is certain that there is no non-existence. Wherever it is certain that there is no non-existence, there it is also certain that there is existence. Because in this way, if it is certain that one of the two, pervasion and reversion, is absent, it is undoubtedly certain that the other is present, therefore, for both self and non-self, it is only the absence of certainty of not possessing life and so on. Therefore, being uncertain about both pervasion and reversion is uncertainty, because it is due to being uncertain about pervasion and reversion that it is uncertain. Even if one has already been uncertain about pervasion and reversion, it is still uncertain. Why does this happen? Because there is no certainty about what is to be established and the other side. Because there is no certainty about possessing life and so on in the contradictory side of what is to be established and what establishes it, therefore it is uncertain. In this way, it is said in the manner of stating. The three modes are the property of the subject, pervasion, and reversion. These are fallacious reasons, and they should be connected in this way. Either each mode, or two by two, are unestablished in some cases, or uncertain. In some cases, one mode is unestablished, or uncertain. In some cases, because there are printing errors, what will happen? Because for what is to be established and the other side, other reasons are not...

So be it. Connect. The three fallacious reasons, namely the unestablished, the contradictory, and the uncertain, are so called. Connect the words "unestablished," "contradictory," and "uncertain." The "non-contradictory contradiction" is also said to be a cause of doubt, that is, the absence of a non-contradictory contradiction is a non-contradictory contradiction. Because it possesses this, it is a non-contradictory contradiction. Or, because it has the nature of a non-contradictory contradiction, it is a non-contradictory contradiction. Because it is a treatise, it is said to be uncertain. It is not mentioned here, that is, I have not explained it. Why? Because it is impossible in the subsequent contradictory place. That is, it is impossible in the inference that enters through the power of things. How is it impossible? In explaining the characteristics of the effect, the nature, or the non-perception, it is said that contradiction is impossible. If there is a cause, then the result must exist, which is the characteristic of the reason of the effect. The reason itself that is merely related to this is the characteristic of the reason of the nature. Non-perception from the visible object of cognition is the characteristic of non-perception. Therefore, contradiction is impossible in those that possess the stated characteristics. For example, using a fragrant tree to prove a tree, the contradiction that is established in any place where there is no tree, in the case of possessing the characteristics mentioned above, the second case is impossible. If it is said that it is impossible in all three cases that possess the stated characteristics, then is it possible in other cases? Therefore, it is said that "there is absolutely no non-contradictory contradiction," that is, in the absence of reliance on the three reasons, there is no erroneous reason in which a non-contradictory contradiction can exist. Because it is impossible in these three cases, it enters through the power of unseen things. The so-called "entering through the power of unseen things" is that which has not been determined by the related valid cognition, that is, it enters through the power of unseen things. The so-called "inference based on scripture" is that because there is a situation of relying on scripture here, this is relying on scripture. Wherever the subject, the property of the subject, etc., are determined through the means of scripture, that is the inference based on scripture.
