It is eliminated by non-pervasion. Alternatively, it is eliminated because all meanings can be expressed by all sounds, since the connection between sound and meaning is conventional. For example, a pot can also be expressed by the sound of the moon. Eliminating with one's own words is like saying, "Inference is not a valid means of knowledge," and so on. If someone says that inference is not a valid means of knowledge, then that is contradictory to their own words. If inference itself is not a valid means of knowledge, then that very statement cannot be expressed, because the statement is included within inference. If inference is not a valid means of knowledge, then how could the statement be a valid means of knowledge? If that statement is not a valid means of knowledge, then why say it? This is contradictory to one's own words. Knowing that contradiction with scripture is included within contradiction with one's own words, it is said, "like a pseudo-thesis." Or, scripture does not rely on inference, because inference arises from the power of things themselves, therefore it is said, "also four." "Thus," means in terms of the manner of explanation. Considering what is established and not established as proof, and at that time the opponent himself does not consider it as proof, and what is the opposite of merely speaking and eliminating, that is what is to be established. Here, the word "opposite" should be connected to each word separately. Therefore, it should be understood in this way: opposite of what is established, opposite of considering what is not established as proof, opposite of the opponent himself not considering it as proof at that time, opposite of merely speaking, and opposite of merely thinking, these should be regarded as the thesis. Thus, for the time being, the definition of the thesis is shown from the perspective of the opposite. Now, the nature of what is to be established is shown. "The nature of that itself" is a synonym for merely what is to be established. "The intention of the opponent" is to eliminate the intention of the author. "Intention" means not merely speaking. "Not eliminated" is a synonym for "the property of the thesis." "Thesis" means "what is to be established."

It is the concluding word. Thus, the reason for showing the nature of pervasion without error and saying "is" is that the nature of pervasion is an erroneous explanation. Thus, the valid inference with the correct nature has been explained for the time being. Wanting to explain the similar inference, it is said that "the inference for the sake of others is the statement of the reason with three modes," etc., and it is said that "said," etc., and it is said that "said," etc., which shows the association with the similar reason. In this regard, with three modes, even if one mode is not stated, it is considered to be similar establishment, which is said to be pervasive dharma, concomitance and reversal, etc. If one of the three modes is not stated, then at that time it becomes the fault of incomplete establishment. If that is said, and if there is non-establishment or doubt for both the knowable and the knower, it is also the same. This is considered to be the three modes, even if any one is said, if there is non-establishment or doubt for both the debater and the refuter, nevertheless it is similar establishment. Thus, similar establishment is generally shown for the time being. In order to show separately, if one mode related to the subject is not established or doubted, it is the similar reason of non-establishment, and it is said "is," etc. Related to the subject is related to the subject, called pervasive dharma. That which is not established or doubted is the similar reason of non-establishment. In order to show an example, for example, when establishing that sound is impermanent, being able to be apprehended by the eye is not established for both, and it is said "is," etc. That sound is not able to be apprehended by the eye is not accepted by both the debater and the refuter. When establishing that trees have mind, dying after peeling off all the bark is not established for the refuter, which is considered to be when the possessor of pervasive clothing says, "Trees have mind, because they die after peeling off all the bark," then for the Buddhist as a valid means, at that time, for the Buddhist, dying after peeling off all the bark of trees is not established. Why is it not established? Because that is the nature of consciousness, sense organs, and the cessation of life, and it is admitted to be death, and it is said "consciousness," etc.
