I use fire to warm myself and dispel the cold. Conversely, if anywhere, phenomena like "hair standing on end" occur, it proves the absence of fire. That is to say, the knowledge that arises with fire as its object is not determined solely by not seeing the fire, but belongs to the category of not determining self-nature. Some people believe that there is no difference between the effect and the cause in terms of function, so they infer without distinction and say that they belong to the category of not determining self-nature, but their statement is only a nominal classification, not a real classification. Even one aspect of a commitment can become a seemingly valid reason, and the meaning conveyed is also unreasonable. Regarding the appearance of contradictory self-nature, etc., if it is said that it can be refuted by an inconsistent measure, then what will be consistent with what? For self-proving inferences, is it impossible to make a statement? If asked, there, the statement of non-determination has eleven differences, then, precisely because of this, by being accustomed to seeing the statement, one can also understand the distinction in the same way, so it is said that the difference is also shown for self-proving inferences. Seeing the statement is understanding. Making things appear different is habit. Therefore, because one is very accustomed to statements, at some point, one will analyze and think, and at that time, one can understand only through the way of the statement, therefore, for self-proving inferences, the difference of the statement of non-determination is also shown. Analytical thinking is a synonym for negation and conviction. Or, analytical thinking is understanding, which is a synonym for distinguishing understanding. Although the difference of non-determination of self-nature is mentioned, for the non-determination of the effect, because there is no that, so, if asked, how can one not be confused? Therefore, for all non-determinations that prove the name of non-existence, whether it is the appearance of contradictory self-nature, etc., or the non-determination of causes, etc., all the negations that are said should be understood only from the knowledge that is the object of the target, to understand appearance and non-appearance. That is to say, that difference is the name of proving non-existence.

All the various explanations of the unseen should be observed. If the unseen arises from causes, etc., becoming visible objects, then at that time the negation of results, etc., can be established; otherwise, it is not. Similarly, if inherent contradictions, etc., are also visible objects, then at that time it is possible to negate what is inconsistent; otherwise, it is not. Why? Therefore, it is stated that for others, the presence and absence of contradiction, cause, and effect cannot be established. The presence and absence of contradiction, cause, and effect are indeed the presence and absence of contradiction, cause, and effect. It is said in this way that these cannot be established. That is to say, for those that are not visible objects, neither contradiction nor the absence of contradiction can be established. Neither the presence of cause and effect nor the absence of cause and effect can be established. This will be shown as follows: For those who see objects that have become visible and continuously enter, if something is not visible due to proximity, then one can believe that it contradicts it. For those who remain the same even when something is close, it is certain that there is no contradiction for that visible object. Similarly, if there is a visible object, and something previously unseen appears as a visible object, if it is not seen as non-existent, then it arises from it, and thus these two are determined to be cause and effect. If something does not exist, then the object that appears is considered to be the absence of cause and effect. Therefore, for the time being, the establishment of the term "non-existence" has been explained, distinguishing the unseen from the visible object. So, what else can be established besides that? It is said that "the unseen realm of time, the characteristics of direct perception and reversed inference, are the cause of doubt." The nature of the realm of time, direct perception, and reversed inference is the cause of doubt, but not the reason for the term "non-existence of things." Why? Because even if the valid cognition is reversed, it cannot be established as meaningless.
