arise. That also is, and also is a distinction, done by that, the nature of that is that, for that reason. This is what is said: all the distinctions of the fruit are not done by association with other things, but by the complete transformation of the substance of the collection of that itself. For example, whatever state of the body, whatever place, and whatever habit previously obtained, if bliss arises and is near, then the fruit will not change. If another place where suffering is experienced is near, or that same habit of previously experiencing bliss itself, due to habit, becomes experiencing suffering, or is near, or the state of the body is completely transformed, then suffering will arise. Therefore, the habit that becomes the cause of bliss, and the collection of appearance, eye, form, and attention, are seen as different, and the cause of suffering is also seen as different. Therefore, there is no fault in bliss and so on not being different. Also, from where does this kind of internal difference come? It is said: Because the cause of suffering is the difference of the eye and so on that have become the cause of bliss, and not from causes other than those, therefore, this called "internal" is specifically said. There is no doubt that it should be admitted in this way: all eye consciousness, when arising from eye, form, appearance, and attention, etc., due to the difference of the collection, the appearance will become a special appearance. The collection with blue, its appearance is related to other natures, the appearance will become other, the eyes have defects, so it is not clear. If it is reversed, then reversed and so on, because it is seen by wisdom. Also, like you, for the self, mind, and conditioned phenomena, etc., the causes of knowing are the same, for what should be taken, etc., for one, due to the cause of long and not long, doubt and determination arise, and the difference of correct knowledge and wrong knowledge, etc., just as it is not beyond knowledge itself, the difference of bliss and so on that have become the nature of knowledge, is also done by the habitual tendencies of internal joy and so on. Whatever from one nature of mind, feeling and

To think, "How could mind and consciousness, etc., arise if not from the very nature of mind?" is merely a question, and that statement is not very relevant. Why would making something small into something large become a fault? How could a banyan seed grow into a large sprout, or gradually into a large trunk? How could taking just a spark as a cause result in a blazing flame filled with light? We cannot fully measure, but we can only say this much, that these are not the words of a speculator. The speculator says that whether small or large, in any case, because of taking similar causes, what arises is of the same kind; and what arises from others is of a different kind. This is like distinguishing in this way, rather than saying that one arises from many, or that many arise from one, which is not the meaning of distinction. If asked whether rice and wheat arise from wheat, and if there is no difference except for the location, then the reasoning relies on causes being the same or different, not on one and many. Therefore, even if thousands of consciousnesses arise from one nature of mind, all of these arise from its proximate cause, which prevents the arising of different kinds. Furthermore, it is sufficient to rebuke with faults. The usual meaning is not reasonable, because from appearance to entering a household, the various eyes, etc., establish mutual differences, thereby giving rise to consciousness. Therefore, the eyes, etc., arise from their respective aggregates, and thus, since the aggregates are interconnected, they would become one nature, so why would they not perceive pleasure, etc.? Regarding what has been said, the differences should be shown, and the wording should be arranged differently. If it is thought that even if objects, etc., are produced by one, but because there are different proximate causes, their differences come from different proximate causes, then this statement is not reasonable. For momentary agents acting simultaneously, each capable of producing results, there is no understanding of proximate cause and other.
